譲り合いの結末

久しぶりに接戦の馬鹿試合を見ましたね。
さて、本日の横浜対広島１２回戦は
横浜　７－６　広島　で、ベイスターズの勝利です

本日の先発は横浜が吉見、広島は青木高。
オールスターを挟んで５連敗中の横浜は２回裏、
先頭のフィリップスにソロホームランを浴びて先制を許してしまう。
一方、２連勝中の広島は初回と２回にピンチを招くも、
無失点に切り抜けて横浜の勝機を摘み取っていく。

ところが、３回以降は完全に立ち直った青木に５回裏の打席で代打を出した。
これが横浜に息を吹き込むこととなる。
６回表、２死から内川がヒットで出塁すると２番手小松の暴投で２塁へ。
続く村田がタイムリーツーベースで横浜が同点に追いつく。
７回表には３番手の横山から吉村がヒットで出塁すると、石川は送りバント。
細山田の代打・下園が四球を選び、吉見の代打・ジョンソンがスリーラン。
横浜が試合をひっくり返した。

しかし、連敗中のチームというのは得てして、
せっかく掴んだ流れを完全には引き寄せられないもの。
７回裏を２番手の木塚が３人で抑えたものの、
８回裏に３番手の加藤康介が石井琢朗に死球を与えると、
広島４番手青木勇の代打・廣瀬にツーベースを許し１死２・３塁のピンチ。
続く東出のショートゴロを、処理を焦った石川がファンブルして１失点。
５番手の真田を送り込むが、
赤松の代打・末永に右中間へのタイムリースリーベースを許し同点。
続く天谷にもタイムリーを浴びて広島に逆転を許してしまう。

ところが９回表、先頭の石川が東出の送球ミスで２塁まで進むと、
下園のバント処理を永川が焦って捕球出来ずに無死１・３塁。
武山を浅いセンターフライ、
代打の桑原をサードゴロに仕留めて２死１・３塁となるが、
続く藤田の打席で永川が痛恨の暴投。
藤田のヒット、内川の打球をマクレーンが後逸して逆転すると、
村田がライト前にタイムリーヒットを放って２点差とする。

山口はヒットと四球で満塁のピンチを招き、犠牲フライで１点を失ったが、
それ以上の失点を許さなかった。
お互いのミスから終盤に二転三転したゲームは、
辛くも横浜が逃げ切る形で幕を閉じた。

５連敗中という悪い流れだったが、今日の勝利で対広島戦は４連勝。
最下位脱出へ向けてのきっかけとなるかもしれない勝利ではあるが、
あまりにも課題が残る勝利でもあった。
加藤康介が与えた死球と、石川のエラーが大量失点を呼び込んだ要因。
３点リードしている戦い方では無かったですね。
結果として広島のエラーに助けられ、
勝ちを譲ってもらったといったところでしょう。

山口に関しては、とにかくクローザーから外さないで欲しい。
今年はまだまだ勉強の年でしょう。
藤川だって、佐々木だって、最初から完璧に抑えられたわけじゃないし、
打たれるのも必要なことだと思う。
なにより、そこまで結果を求めることにこだわるような年齢ではないでしょう。
まだ４年目、これから伸びてくるであろう２２歳の投手に、
過度な結果を求めるのは酷でしょう。
そんなことより、山口にクローザーとしての経験を多く積ませることが重要かと。
その結果、負けたとしてもね。
