聖剣の刀鍛冶 第１０話

聖剣の刀鍛冶の第１０話を見ました。
雷の魔剣を持つ老騎士の襲撃を受けたルークだったが……

第１０話-殉情 -Tragesdy-

雷を操る魔剣の力の前に苦戦を強いられるも、
老騎士を辛うじて退け、リサを守ることが出来たルーク。
翌日、セシリーはルークが魔剣使いに襲われたこと、
アリアから先日ルークに紹介したエルザが、
雷の魔剣そのものであることを教えられ、
ヴァルバニルの復活が間近に迫っていることと、
ルークが未だ聖剣を作り出せていないことを知る。

セシリーはルークの憎しみの矛先がヴァルバニルではなく、
父親を死に追いやり、
リーザを守れなかった自分自身に向けられていることに気付くが、
同時に自分がそこまでルークの信頼を勝ち得ていなかった事実に落ち込んでしまう。

街に戻ったアリアは偶然にもエルザと遭遇し、
自分たち魔剣がヴァルバニルに対する憎しみから生まれ、
ヴァルバニルを殺すためだけに存在していることを知る。

一方、ヴァルバニル会議の席上ではルークが襲撃を受けたことと同時に、
封印の効果があと１年を切っているにも拘らず、
未だに聖剣を作り出すことが出来ないルークの実力を
疑問視する声が上がり始めていた。

さてさて、少しづつ明かされてきた物語の核とも言うべき聖剣とヴァルバニル。
老騎士の話ではヴァルバニルの封印は戦争の前後っぽいんですが、
今回のヴァルバニル会議の席上におけるやりとりでは、
ヴァルバニルの封印後に戦争が起こったようにも取れますね。
この辺りが曖昧なんですが、
そもそもヴァルバニルがいつから存在していたのか、
いつ頃封印されたのかなどが判ってくれば、
謎も解けてくるのかな？と……

老騎士の目的というか、執念ですが、
彼にとって必要だったのはヴァルバニルに対する復讐ではなく、
自分の娘と交わした約束を果たすことだったのかな？という気がしますね。
リサを殺そうとしているのは事実ですが、
どうも限界が近付いた時の彼の行動を見ると、
自分の娘にミセリコルデで止めを刺させるための行動に映りますね。
ただ、謎なのはエルザの正体ですね。
私はてっきり、老騎士の娘であるエルザが魔剣化したのだと思ってましたが、
若干違う気もします。

ルークは自分の内臓を触媒に用いたようだと言っていましたが、
エヴァドニの言によれば魔剣は悪魔契約によって誕生するらしいので。
ジャックストラダーが左腕だけ悪魔化させていたように、
肉体の一部分を悪魔契約で悪魔化させることも可能だと推測できますが、
ここで生まれる疑問点は二つ。
一つは老騎士が魔剣の作り方を知っていたのか？ということ。
もう一つは、確実に魔剣を作る方法があるのか？ということ。
偶然ではなく意図的に行ったものならば、
それを教えたのは誰なのか？という疑問も浮かび上がってくるわけですが、
残念ながらそれを知っていそうな人たちは語ってくれそうにありませんね。

今までは影でこそこそと暗躍していたシーグフリードですが、
老騎士をけしかけるだけではなく、自らも赴いて剣を交えたり、
今回はルークたちに対して堂々と悪いことやってますね。
軍国が用意した聖剣に対し、
魔剣となら打ち合える可能性がある紛い物と断じたり、
やたらと聖剣に対する知識を持ち合わせていることが窺える上に、
以前からルークの剣術の腕についても知っている口振りです。
帝国側の代表であるオーガスタスも、
内心ではシーグフリードのことを快く思っていない様子が垣間見えるため、
シーグフリードは帝国で急激に出世した成り上がり者なのかも。

前回のルークの回想シーンで父親の容姿について伏せられているのが、
どうも作為的な印象を受けるので、
リサの出生の秘密を知っている点も考慮するとシーグフリードの正体は、
ヴァルバニルの影響を受けたルークの父親という線も考えられますね。
シーグフリードの過去が語られればある程度読み解けると思いますが、
その可能性はかなり低いかな……
しかしこの人、一体何本の魔剣を持っているんでしょうね？

そしてようやく明かされたリサの秘密。
リーザと同じ容姿を持つ理由は、
ルークがリーザを元に生み出した悪魔だからと判明しましたが、
そもそもルークはどうやってリーザを悪魔にしたんでしょうかね？
そして、どうやってヴァルバニルの元から逃げ出してきたのか……
ヴァルバニルが３年もの間ルークを追ってこない理由が、
この辺りにありそうですがどうなんでしょうね？
しかし此処でまた一つ疑問が……
ルークは３年前にヴァルバニルと遭遇した際、
左目を失い父親とリーザを犠牲にして生き延びたわけですが、
ヴァルバニル会議のメンバーは、
どうやって聖剣の封印の様子を観察しているんでしょうね？
予め封印の効力が切れる時期についての文献があるんでしょうか？
仮に目視だった場合、聖剣が封印しているヴァルバニルと、
ルークが遭遇したヴァルバニルが同一の個体とは限らない気もします。

謎が膨らんで、
同時にこの先の展開が楽しみになってきた聖剣の刀鍛冶。
現状で人型を取る魔剣は全て女性になりますが、
男性の姿になる魔剣ってあるんでしょうかね？
それとも魔剣は女性ONLYですか？
