戦う司書 The Book of Bantorra 第１１話 [アニメの話とか]
戦う司書の第１１話を見ました。突如叛乱を起こしたモッカニア。
一方フィーキーは黒幕と思しき女性と接触したのだが……
第１１話-弱者と迷宮と女王の指し手-
モッカニアの叛乱によって圧倒的不利に追い込まれたバントーラは、
状況打開のためにイレイアが単身で赴き、
一時的にモッカニアの時間を止めることで隙を作り出す。
イレイアが作り出した限られた時間を用いて第４封印書庫へ辿り着き、
回収していたシュラムッフェンを手にしたハミュッツ。
一方、叛乱の首謀者と思われる、
レナス＝フルールを名乗る女性と接触したフィーキーではあったが、
予想外なレナスの反応に動揺し、
時間が動き出したモッカニアに殺されてしまう。
シュラムッフェンを手にハミュッツが反撃に出た事を知ったモッカニアは、
目の前のレナスが偽者であることを知りながらも、
彼女を自分の部屋へと退避させ、
単身ハミュッツを迎え撃つことになる。
しかし、ウィンケニーとモッカニアの言葉に疑問を抱くレナスは、
途中で足元の瓦礫に躓いてしまった事から、
偶然にも本物のレナスの本の欠片に触れ、
自分が偽者であることを知ってしまうのだった。
というわけで、ハミュッツ対モッカニアのバトルですが……
ある意味化物なハミュッツを圧倒するモッカニアの魔法。
地下という閉鎖空間であそこまで大量の蟻が相手となると、
如何にシュラムッフェンと云えども処理が追いついてきませんね。
ハミュッツもシガルと戦った時より、心なしか嬉しそうです。
ただし、シガルのときには感じられた余裕が、
今回は見受けられませんでしたけどね。
黒幕であるウィンケニーは外見こそ小物だけど、
中身は意外にも大物と言った感じでしょうかね。
その反対がシガルでしょうけど。
自分の目的を果たしさえすればそれで満足、という部分で、
ガンバンゼルと良く似ていると思います。
結局ウィンケニーにとっては本のことやハミュッツの抹殺など、
些細なことでしかなかったんでしょうね。
ただ、モッカニア＝フルールという武装司書を理解し、
その死を見届けることだけが彼の全てだったように思えます。
だからこそモッカニアの死後はシガルのように見苦しく足掻く真似はせず、
ガンバンゼルのように潔く死を受け入れた感じですね。
まあ、彼がモッカニアの全てを理解出来ていたとは思えませんが、
本人は理解したと思っているんでしょうね。
モッカニアを母親と会わせたかっただけだと気付いたのも、
それが一因なのかもしれません。
他人の事をとやかく言う割には、自分はどうなのよ？
と言いたくなるほどあっさりとお亡くなりになったフィーキー。
まあ、モッカニアの蟻の大群相手では仕方ないけど、
彼が武装司書になれた理由って、どう考えても彼の魔法ですね。
まあ、他のキャラもそうなんでしょうけど、
フィーキーの場合は魔法への依存度がかなり高い気がします。
壁や床の中に自由に潜れるのなら最短距離を通れるし、
迷宮をうろついている怪物との遭遇率は極端に低下しますからね。
偽者の母親と気付いていながら、それでもレナスを守るために戦うモッカニア。
しかし、それが母親の望みとは遠いものであることに気付き、
自分が赦せないのか最後は自らの蟻に喰われて命を絶つことに……
しかし、通路を隙間無く埋め尽くす人食い蟻の大群に呑まれながら、
シュラムッフェンを持つとはいえそれでも生還するハミュッツは、
もう化物の領域を超えている気もしますね。
モッカニア亡き後、
レナスと名乗る女性を外へ案内するハミュッツだったが……
