戦う司書の第１２話を見ました。レナスの偽者を発端に引き起こされた、

第１２話-過去と理不尽とパイプの煙-

モッカニアの母であるレナスを名乗った謎の女性は、
叛乱収束以降バントーラに身柄を拘束され、治療と尋問を受けていた。
思った以上に教団の情報収集が進まないことに、
仲間が犠牲になったことから苛立ちを覚えるミレポックだが、
イレイアに諭されたことで最後の質問として、
本を想い人に届ける魔法使いと同じ名を持つ、
ラスコール・オセロのことを訊ねる。

マットはそんなミレポックの行動をハミュッツに報告するのだが、
「私を殺せるものが居なくなったら、私を殺して欲しい」という言葉で、
ハミュッツが武装司書となるきっかけとなった、
昔のことを思い出す。

それは今から１０年ほど昔のこと。
マットが武装司書としての仕事の傍ら、
場末の酒場を不法営業していた頃の話。
当時の館長代行であるフォトナからの任務をすっぽかしたことで、
イレイアからきついお灸を据えられたマットは、
自分が経営する酒場でハミュッツと出会う。

最初はハミュッツの容姿に惚れたマットだったが、
武装司書である自分と互角に渡り合える戦闘能力に惚れ込み、
ハミュッツを武装司書訓練生としてフォトナに推薦するが、
ハミュッツ自身は館長代行のフォトナを１ヶ月、
時を操る魔法を用いるイレイアを３ヶ月、
２秒先の未来予知を持つマットを半年で凌駕出来ると豪語するのだった。
こうしてハミュッツはマットと共に暮らしながら、
その後の４年間で一級武装司書まで登り詰めるのだが……

というわけで、今回はハミュッツとマットの出会いの話。
マットがやたらとハミュッツを親しげに呼んでいたのは、
今現在は不明ながらも昔は恋人同士といえる関係だったわけですね。

戦闘能力でやたらと化け物っぷりを発揮してきたハミュッツですが、
武装司書となる以前から化け物だったことが見えてきました。
まあ、武装司書になってからは、
たった一人で軍隊を全滅させてくるなど、
その化け物っぷりに磨きが掛かってきていますけどね。
前館長代行のフォトナの推測である、
武装司書になるためにマットに近づいたというのは、
ある意味当たっているのかもしれませんね。

館長代行となる以前はマットにべったりだったハミュッツですが、
代行となった現在は一定の距離を置いて接している感じですね。
それは恐らくフォトナが言っていた第２封印書庫と、
世界の真実の姿が関係していると思いますが……
フォトナによって知らされたマットと、
恐らく代行となる際にそれを知ったであろうハミュッツ。
二人は何を見て、何を知ったんでしょうね？

若い頃はかなりの軟派者だったマット。
まあ、今でも注意深く見るとその傾向が垣間見られますがw
イレイアより上と評した当時のハミュッツが、
マットを過大評価しているのでなければ、
ミレポが苦戦した第４封印書庫の魔物をいとも容易く倒したことといい、
マットの実力は一級武装司書相当ということでしょうかね。
バントーラを裏切り、帝国に付いたハイザの始末と同時に、
ハミュッツの抹殺指令まで受けたマットでしたが、
「マットにだけは、殺されたくない」というハミュッツの真意とは？
やはり初めて出会った自分よりも強い相手だから、
ハミュッツにとってマットは特別ということなんでしょうかね？

まあ、フォトナのハミュッツは異常発言に対し、
一般人から見れば武装司書は異常者や変態の集まり、
というマットの意見は激しく同意です。
殺しあった直後にセックルとか、ありえないから!!
まったく……格闘系陵辱同人誌か？と言いたくなる超展開ですね。

マットとの出会いと武装司書になった経緯が判明したハミュッツですが、
肝心の目的と正体はさっぱりでした。
世界を滅ぼすことが目的なのか、

そしてマットがパイプを使って喫煙するようになった、本当の理由は？
