ソ・ラ・ノ・ヲ・トの第２話を見ました。
時告ゲ砦への着任早々、起床喇叭を吹くこととなったカナタだが……

第２話-初陣・椅子ノ話-

セーズの街でトラブルに巻き込まれながらも、
無事に第１１２１部隊へ着任したカナタは、
起床喇叭を担当することとなったが、
あまりに稚拙な演奏からリオにマウスピースでの訓練を言い渡される。

食堂で部隊長のフィリシア・ハイデマン少尉、
同僚の寒凪乃絵留(かんなぎのえる)伍長と、
墨埜谷暮羽(すみのやくれは)二等兵との顔合わせを済ませたカナタは、
身体作りのためにしっかりと食事を摂るよう奨められるのだが、
リオやフィリシアの胸と自分の胸を比較して、密かに落ち込んでしまう。

一方、リオを敬愛する先任二等兵のクレハは、
リオからカナタの案内役を命じられるのだが、
リオを取られる危機感から、カナタに厳しく当たるのだった。

そんな折、砦には幽霊騒ぎが発生する。
寝不足だったノエルの証言から、
リオとクレハは信憑性が無い、と否定するのだが、
カナタがノエルの発言を肯定したことから状況が一転し、
二人が幽霊を目撃したという砦の支部舎へ、
カナタとクレハが調査に赴くこととなるのだが……

世界設定がイマイチ掴みにくいこの作品なんですが、
時代背景は若干ながらも見えてきたような印象です。
伝承で語り継がれている「翼持つ悪魔」については謎ですが、
舞台になっているのは旧文明が滅んだ後の日本、
というところでしょうかね？
通貨が円であることというのも理由の一つですが、
カナタがイデア文字と言っていた教科書に書かれていたのは、
間違いなく日本語でしたからね。

まあ、砦そのものが海外の日本人学校か、
或いは日本語を選択科目に持つ学校という可能性も否定できませんが、
(戦車の格納庫は体育館でしたし)
黒板に「日直」と書かれていた所を見ると、
未来の日本という可能性が非常に高いと思います。
ただ、その辺りは翼を持つ悪魔の存在と関ってきそうなので、
今後の話の展開で明かされるとは思えませんけどねw

かなり当て字の日本人っぽい名前が多い中で、
今のところ唯一といっていい例外のフェリシアですが、
部隊長なのにかなりおっとりしたところがあって、
どちらかというとムギよりあらあら、うふふなあの人を連想させますね。

幽霊騒動が持ち上がったとき、
案の定必要以上に怯えていたリオとクレハ。
普段気が強いキャラほど、怪談話に弱いという典型ですが、
力いっぱい否定して自分を奮い立たせた結果、
自分が調べにいく羽目になるというのもまたお約束。

そしてピアノの弦を弾くことでその音階を当ててしまうカナタ。
実は絶対音感の持ち主なのか？
しかし、それと演奏技術とはやはり異なるようで……
拾った教科書をちゃっかり持ち帰っていましたが、
あれは今後のストーリーの布石なんでしょうかね？

カナタとクレハの調査の結果、
幽霊の正体は砦に住み着いた梟と判明し、
小隊旗のシンボルのこともあって、
フェリシアの命令で飼うこととなったわけだが……

One thing I’ve noticed is always that there are plenty of myths regarding the finance institutions intentions any time talking about property foreclosures. One fairy tale in particular is the bank needs to have your house. The lending company wants your hard earned money, not your house. They want the funds they lent you with interest.
