おおかみかくし 第８話

おおかみかくしの第８話を見ました。
というわけで、感想です。

第８話-錯綜-

オカルト好きなかなめは、
好奇心から町に伝わる数え歌のことを調べ始めたのだが、
公民館で数え歌のことを調べている最中、
何者かによって拉致されてしまう。
まるで牢獄のような場所に閉じ込められたかなめは、
五十鈴の兄・一誠の死と神人と呼ばれる、人間とは異なる存在を知るが、
そんなかなめの前に眠が姿を現す。
かなめは次は助けることが出来ないと言い含められ、
二度とこの件に関らないよう念を押された上で、
眠によって牢から解放されるのだった。

かなめを勝手に解放した事で責任の追及を受ける眠は、
狩人としての行動に制限を加えられると同時に、
葛西から博士の抹殺を人間の便利屋に依頼したことを聞かされる。
強すぎる蜜であるが故に、住人を狂わせる博士を排除するため、
博士の身柄を捕らえに向かう旧市の住人たち。
しかし、当主である父・重三の意に反して博士を助けたことから、
眠は狩人としての役目を解かれてしまう。

一方、神人への復讐を目論み、素性を隠して重次に近付いた賢木は、
重次から神人に関する資料を手に入れるのだが……

前回、踏み込んではいけない部分にまで、
踏み込んでしまったため、拉致されてしまったかなめですが、
今回あっさりと解放されてしまって、
実はもう２・３話拘束されていると思っていたので些か拍子抜け。

ただし微妙と言えば微妙ではあるものの、
博士にとっては疑問を紐解く可能性のある情報を入手した訳ですが、
残念ながら解放後のかなめは、今のところ博士と接触する様子はなく、
眠に忠告されたにも拘らず一人で調べている感じですね。
行動力は博士よりはるかに高い印象なので、賢木が辿り着けていない、
町の本当の秘密にまで辿り着きそうなのがかなめ。
次は助けられない、と言われてしまったかなめですが、
その分慎重に推理を進めていく事になるんでしょうね。

そして最近はもう教えて君と化している博士。
巻き込まれ体質という以前に、完全にヘタレ状態な訳ですが、
博士自身に自覚は無いものの、住人にとっては実は加害者な状況。
真実を知りたい思いはあっても、
実際は誰かが教えてくれるのを待っている状況なので、
少しでも事情を知っていそうな人には誰彼構わず質問していくので、
自分自身を一層追い詰めている事には気付いていませんね。
一誠や五十鈴の事情はともかくとして、
かなめが拉致されるきっかけを作ったのは間違いなく博士なので。
住人の秘密を知った彼が、どんな反応を示すのか、
興味が沸いてきました。

白狼様と呼ばれ、眠たちと同じお面を着けた香織。
身体のこともそうなのですが、
やはり気になるのは賢木の恋人との因果関係の有無でしょうかね。
この辺り、９話で明らかになるんでしょうか？
まあ、何らかの儀式に関わりがあるのは推測できますが、
私の疑問も儀式の描写になればはっきりするんでしょうかね？

さて、今回色々と出揃って賢木の復讐の形というものが見えてきました。
恐らく賢木にとっての復讐の形というものは、
神人の存在を世間に公表することで、
住人を社会的に抹殺する事にあるのではないでしょうかね。
本人は直接手を下したと思い込んでいる眠に関しては、
また別の方法を考えているのかもしれませんが……
ただ引っ掛かるのはやはり香織の存在。
賢木が現場を目撃した際の描写は血溜まりと指輪で、
遺体らしき物の描写はなかった気がしますが。

狩人の役目を解かれ、謹慎していた眠は、
博士が賢木によって捕らえられた事を知り救出に向かう。
一方賢木に呼び出された博士は、
賢木によって捕らえられた眠と再会する事となるのだが……
