ソ・ラ・ノ・ヲ・ト 第９話

ソ・ラ・ノ・ヲ・トの第９話を見ました。
というわけで、感想です。

第９話-台風一過・虚像ト実像-

夏も過ぎ、季節は秋へと移り変わったセーズの街。
カナタは砦の畑で栽培している作物の収穫に取り掛かりながら、
クレハの両親についての話を聞かされていたが、
砦からはリオが奏でるトランペットの音色が聞こえていた。
クレハはリオの演奏技術に対して、素直に感嘆の溜息を漏らすのだが、
カナタは音色に含まれた迷いを敏感に感じ取り、
リオを心配する事となる。

その夜、リオの様子がおかしいことがどうしても気になるカナタは、
クレハとノエルに相談を持ちかけるのだが、
クレハから単なる杞憂だと諭される事となる。
一方、保守確認の電話以降、心此処にあらずといった状態のリオは、
せめてカナタたちの前では虚勢を張っているよう、
フィリシアから釘を刺される事となるのだが、
そんなリオの元に首都から一通の文書が届く。

翌朝、台風が通過するまで、
砦に留まる事となったクラウスをもてなすクレハ。
クラウスが持ってきた新しい新聞の情報から、
休戦協定が行き詰りつつあることを知ったカナタは、
ビネンランド戦線の英雄で伝説的な戦車乗りだった、
イリア・アルカディア第１皇女の話を聞く事となる。
その頃首都からの文書を受け取ったリオは、開封するべきか否か迷っていたのだが、
そこに教会で暮らす孤児の一人が行方不明になったという一報が飛び込んでくる。

前回までは一応夏だったはずですが、
今回は既に作物の収穫期を迎えたソ・ラ・ノ・ヲ・ト。

自慢げにクレハが父親の英雄譚をカナタに語って聞かせているわけですが、
これでクレハの両親は軍人だったことが判明しました。
ただし、手紙が送られて来た際に一人だけ手紙を受け取っていないことから、
異なる任地に就いていながら連絡を行わず、
かといって両親との仲が悪いようには見えないこと、
更にはセイヤを叱り付けるときの台詞から判断すると
クレハの両親は既に亡くなっていることは決定的ですね。

砂漠の狼と呼ばれる凄腕の戦車乗り、
かと思いきや、実は同名で年や背格好が似ているだけの、
別人であることが発覚したクラウス。
彼が小隊メンバーに砂漠の狼と呼ばれるようになったのは、
クレハの思い込みが原因であることも同時に判明したわけですが、
ノエルがこの事を知らなかった点を考慮に入れると、
小隊への着任はノエルよりもクレハが先だった、
ということでしょうね。
今回クレハはセイヤを助けた際の二次災害に巻き込まれ、
本物の砂漠の狼が持っている狼の刺青が、
クラウスの左胸に存在しなかったことから、
実は別人であった事に気付いたわけですが、
その件について一切触れないのは今の関係を壊したくないのか、
それともクレハにとっての砂漠の狼が彼になっただけなのか……
判断に悩むところではありますが、
クレハは、なんとなくクラウスから言い出すまでは、
今後も砂漠の狼として通すのではないかな？と思いますね。

ナオミが第１話でリオの持っている鈴を「形見」と言っている事と、
イリアとの接点が少しづつはっきりしてきたことで、
イリアが既に死亡しているのは既に判っていましたが、
今回はイリアの死因についての理由が垣間見えてきました。
同時にリオが子供を嫌っている理由というのも、
何となく見えてきましたね。

恐らくイリアの死因は災害救助時の事故、
それも子供が絡んだ事故だと推測できます。
それが今回のような自然災害が絡んでの事故なのか、
それとも単に子供が危険な場所に入って戻れなくなったのを、
救助している最中の事故なのかは判りませんが、
今回のセイヤと同様に子供が勝手に動いたことで、
救助に向かう羽目になって任務中に亡くなった可能性が高いですね。

そしてリオの正体も、イリアが「第１皇女殿下」と呼ばれていたこと、
リオが彼女を姉と呼んでいたことから、
イリアの妹である第２皇女、もしくは第３皇女という可能性がありますね。
皇位継承をするならば第２皇女、休戦協定のための人質か、
政略結婚のためならば第３皇女といったところでしょうか。
いずれにせよ、リオが受け取った壱号特別文書の内容を見なければ、
この辺りははっきりしてこないと思いますが。

居なくなったセイヤを無事に確保し、救助に成功はしたものの、
台風によって緩んだ地盤が崩れたことで道が塞がれてしまい、
取り残されてしまったクレハとクラウス。
二人を救出するためにタケミカヅチのワイヤーアンカーを射出し、
引き上げる事を試みるのだが、
アンカーが着弾した衝撃で地盤が崩れ、クレハは濁流に飲まれてしまう。
しかし、クラウスはそんなクレハを助け出すのだが……
