とある科学の超電磁砲 第２３話

超電磁砲の第２３話を見ました。ポルターガイストの原因が、
子供たちの覚醒にあることを突き止めた美琴だが……

第２３話-いま、あなたの目には何が見えていますか？-

木原厳生の事を調べていくうちに保釈された木山と再会した美琴は、
ポルターガイスト現象が子供たちを覚醒させる過程で起こる、
RSPK症候群の同時多発によるものと知るが、
彼女たちの後を尾けて来たテレスティーナによって、
子供たちはMARに収容される事となり、
木山の想いを知りながらそれを阻んだことで、
後味の悪いものを感じていた。

行方不明になっていた絆理が見つかったことで安堵するも、
複雑な感情を抱いていた初春は、
春上のお見舞いに行くよう佐天から促されるのだが、
木山の事情を知る初春は絆理の発見を素直に喜べず、
木山の居る病院を訪れる事となる。

能力体結晶の投与実験によって昏睡状態に陥った子供たちを、
MARによって回収されたことで自ら呼び起こす手段を失い、
失意に沈んでいた木山は訪れた初春に励まされ、
子供たちを呼び起こすための研究データを託すためMARを訪れるが、
所長のテレスティーナが木山厳生の孫であることを知るのだった。

自身の感情的な行動から、
最悪な相手に子供たちを託してしまった事を知った美琴は、
単身テレスティーナの元を訪れるのだが……

残り２話となって、いよいよ大詰めの超電磁砲。
前回のラストで例の子供たちが回収されてしまったわけですが、
今回はテレスティーナがようやく本性を現しました。
とはいっても、彼女が今回の事件の首謀者であることは、
１２話の時点で判りきっていましたが。

今回木原・ライフラインというフルネームと共に厳生の孫で、
ファーストサンプルの被験者でもあることが判明したテレスティーナ。
本性現した途端に言葉使いが乱暴になりましたが、
実は口調による裏表の変化キャラというのは、
とある～シリーズでは極めて稀少キャラだったりしますw
(今までは精々神裂くらい、しかもキレた時限定だったので)

最初期の能力体結晶の被験者だったわけですが、
気になるのはやはり彼女の能力でしょうね。
能力体結晶の効果を確かめるためには、
能力者に投与してみなければ判らない訳で、
結晶の被験者であるテレスティーナもまた能力者であると推測できますが、
美琴との戦闘はキャパシティダウンを用いていたため能力を使用しておらず、
どんな能力を持っているのかは謎のまま。
しかし、キャパシティダウンは自身にも有効なはずですが、
特に影響を受けている様子が見られなかったのは気になります。
ひょっとしてパワードスーツに何か仕掛けがあるんでしょうかね？

案の定、キャパシティダウンもテレスティーナが横流しした代物だったわけですが、
こんな代物を作り出していた理由として考えられるのは、
実験成功時の被験者たちの叛乱防止用か、
実験のための高レベル能力者の捕獲用か、
或いはその両方の目的なんでしょうね。
なんともないはずの婚后をいつまでも軟禁していたことから、
テレスティーナたちは彼女も実験に利用するつもりだったんでしょうね。

出番はそこそこあるくせに、全くもって見せ場がない婚后。
美琴を助け出すシーンは見事にカットされ、
この最終シナリオでも決戦の場には赴かず、
どうやら留守番をさせられる感じではありますが、
劇中では全く描写が無いけど彼女は一応レベル４の空力使い。
直接的な戦闘能力では黒子にも引けを取らないはずなんですが、
出番を与えられないのはシリアスシーンに合い難い、
あのキャラクターのせいですかね？
それとも制作側が能力を知らないだけ？
まあ彼女が加わると７人位になるので、
人数の都合上という可能性も否定できませんが……

ついに絆理と再会した春上だが、
絆理を餌にテレスティーナの実験に加わる事に。
運び出される彼女たちと、それを追う木山。
警備員に応援を要請するも、
証拠不十分で動けないことに業を煮やした美琴たちは、
独断で春上たちの救出に動くのだが……
