ダンス イン ザ ヴァンパイア バンド 第１０話

ヴァンパイアバンドの第１０話を見ました。
ヒステリカの支配から、ななみを解放したミナだったが……

第１０話-ワルプルギスの夜-

公主家に仕える地の一族、
ベイオウルブズの一員でもあるアキラ・鏑木・レーゲンドルフ。
彼は１年前のとある任務に赴いた際に事故に遭い、
記憶の大半を失っていたのだが、
ミナとの接触によって、その大部分を回復していた。
しかし、未だ失われたままの断片的な記憶による悪夢によって苛まれ、
ミナの死という悪夢で目を覚ます事となる。

学園でのヴァンパイア騒動に巻き込まれてヴァンパイアと化した東雲ななみは、
ヒステリカによって支配権を上書きされて操られていたのだが、
ミナが再度上書きする事によって解放され、
ななみを助けようとした幼馴染のユヅルと共に、
ミナの使用人としてバンドで暮らしながらも学園へと復帰していた。

そんなある日、ななみはユヅルと共にミナたちとプールで遊ぶ事となる。
自分たちへの望外な対応に対し、面食らってしまうななみ。
由紀はヴェラたちの肢体を羨むのだが、
ミナからは自身の顕身した姿を口外しないように口止めされる。
束の間の休息ともいえる穏やかな時間だが、
招かれざる客である三支族の突然の来訪によって破られてしまう。

一方アキラはこれまで窮地を救ってもらった美刃への借りを返すため、
彼女とのデートを余儀なくされていたのだが、
どれほどミナに恋心を抱こうとも、
その想いが報われることは無い、と忠告を受ける事となる。
そんな中、アキラは由紀から三支族がバンドに来訪したことを、
電話で聞かされる事となるのだが……

放送も残り３話で、クライマックスが近付いてきたヴァンパイアバンド。

人類とヴァンパイアの仇敵とも言える謎の巨大組織・テロメア、
そのテロメアとの暗闘に巻き込まれたななみを、
ヴェラの旧友でありテロメアの尖兵となったヒステリカの支配から解放し、
ユヅルと共にバンドに住まわせることを承諾したミナの前に現れた新たな敵。
ヴァンパイアの王たるツェペッシュ公主家の血縁者にして、
配下でありながらもミナに対して優位な立場にある三支族。

百の支族の生き残りにして、ミナが同族でありながら宿敵と呼ぶ彼らですが、
謎なのは彼らが何故ミナに対してあそこまで上位に立っているのか？
ということでしょうかね。
以前、ジャン・マレイが「ミナは三支族から抑えられている」
というニュアンスの言葉を発していましたが、
百もあった真祖の血を引く支族が僅か３つにまで減った事と、
なんらかの関係があるんでしょうかね？
考えられるのは現在の三支族によるクーデターで、
ミナは三支族による傀儡の王、といったところですが、
そうなってくると、何故クーデターを起こす必要があったのか？
という部分が謎として残りますね。
ミナを娶る事によってヴァンパイアの王という称号が欲しかったのか、
それとももっと別の理由があるのか……

アキラの行く末に対して警告を発したり、
直接・間接問わずに窮地を助けたかと思えば、
ミナに対する不審を抱かせて混乱を誘うかのような言葉を発したりと、
敵なのか味方なのか相変わらず判然としない美刃。
彼女もまた、ミナと何らかの繋がりがある描写はあるものの、
わざわざバンドの外でアキラと会っていたり、
その所属が一向に掴めない訳ですが、
ヒステリカが彼女の存在を知っていたことから、
彼女がテロメアであるという可能性も無きにしも非ずですね。
アキラやミナたちが知らなかった三支族の動きを掴んでいたりするところも考慮すると、
三支族に近い組織に属するか、
テロメアの一員と考えるのが妥当ですが果たして？

ミナの伴侶を決めるため、三支族の放った刺客に教われる事となったアキラ。
一方ミナは三支族の要請によって、純潔審問を受ける事となるのだが……
