競技に於ける審判という存在について

スポーツというものには必ず、競技者の公平・公正を保つために、
それを監視・監督する審判が存在するが、
２０～３０年前までは審判の判定は絶対にして不変のものだった。
ところが近年は映像技術の画期的な進化によって、
今までの映像技術では曖昧だったグレーゾーンに対して、
かなり明確な白黒が見えるようになり、
同時に審判の誤審も取り上げられるようになってきたように私は感じています。

私自身の個人的意見ではあるが、競技者同様に審判も人間である以上、
誤審は必ず付いて回る代物だと思っています。
それは人間の目が多角的な視野から１点を見ることが出来ないということ。
これは現在の技術をもってしても複数台のカメラを使わなければ不可能なため、
人間に出来ないことは当たり前でもありますが……
そして人間の目には見ている映像の一時停止や巻き戻しの機能が無いこと。
多角的な視点から検証できる映像と異なり一方向からの、
それも一瞬の状況下で判断しなければならないのですから、
人間が審判をやっている限り誤審というものは根絶できないと思います。

とはいえ、審判も人間だから誤審はつきもの、
という言葉を免罪符代わりにされても困ります。
ドイツ対イングランド、無効とされた前半３８分のランパードの同点ゴール。
アルゼンチン対メキシコ、前半２６分にオフサイドポジションからにも拘らず、
有効として認められたテベスの先制ゴール。
結果だけ見ればドイツとイングランドは４－１、
アルゼンチンとメキシコは３－１で終わってしまったが、
ランパードの同点ゴールがきちんと認められていれば、果たしてドイツは勝てたのか？
先制ゴールがきちんとオフサイドと判定されていたら、アルゼンチンは勝てたのか？
アルゼンチンは今ひとつ判断が難しいが、ドイツの場合はそれでも勝ったかもしれない。
ただ、どちらもここまで一方的な試合になることはなかったように思えます。

極稀にではありますが、審判を全部機械化したらいい、という乱暴な意見もありますね。
私としてはデジタルで厳格に判定すれば誤審はなくなるかもしれないけど、
同時に細かいファウルで試合をちょくちょく中断させられないか心配なので、
一概に賛成は出来ませんけどね。
かといって、人間がやる以上、やはり誤審があるといっても、
それを免罪符にはして欲しくないんですよ。
まして勝敗に直結する得点に関する部分での誤審というのは特に、ね。
そういう意味では、必要な部分にはテクノロジーを導入すべきなのでは？と思います。
あとは、如何に審判の技術を向上させるか、でしょうね。
