とある魔術の禁書目録Ⅱ ＃１８

とある魔術の禁書目録Ⅱの第１８話を見ました。
大覇星祭の罰ゲームによって、御坂美琴に振り回される事となった上条当麻。
退院した打ち止めはマンションのオートロックに阻まれて黄泉川の部屋に戻れず、
困り果てていたところを御坂妹に遭遇し、彼女のゴーグルを奪って逃走するのだが……

大覇星祭に於ける学校別の総合順位で「負けた方は勝った方の言うことを何でも聞く」
という条件で賭けを行い、当然のように負けて罰ゲームをする羽目になった上条当麻は、
９月３０日の午後から美琴につき合わされて地下街にある携帯ショップへと赴いていた頃、
日本を遠く離れたロンドンではとある二つの問題が起こっていた。
それはある意味深刻であり、ある意味どうでもいい理由によって起こった問題。
一つはイギリス清教最大主教が住まうランベス宮の浴場で、
主であるローラ=スチュアートはステイル=マグヌスから自身が作成した報告書について、
問答無用で確認させられていた。
それとほぼ同時刻、必要悪の教会所属のシスターが共同生活を行っているランベス女子寮では、
壊れた洗濯機の代わりとして学園都市からローラが貰い受けた最新式の全自動洗濯機を前に、
科学技術に疎い神裂火織やアニェーゼ=サンクティスらが悪戦苦闘していた。

そんなイギリス清教の束の間の平穏が繰り広げられていたロンドンの事など知る由も無く、
罰ゲームで御坂美琴に振り回されていた上条当麻は、
美琴が携帯の契約手続きを終わらせるのを待っているときに、
ゴーグルを奪って逃走した打ち止めを追いかけ地下街へやってきた御坂妹と遭遇する事になる。
ゴーグルが無いと全く見分けがつかない程に良く似ている御坂妹に対し、
判別の為のアクセサリーとして当麻はハートを模ったネックレスを買い与えるのだが、
御坂妹は指輪を買って貰えなかった事に落胆した挙句、
ヒヨコの形を模したお菓子を本物と勘違いして理不尽な怒りを当麻に向けていたところを、
携帯電話の手続きを終えて戻ってきた美琴と再会する事になる。

美琴は好意を抱いてはいるものの素直に行動出来ない、と情報を分析した御坂妹は、
美琴とは異なるアプローチで当麻に対して攻勢に出るがそこに打ち止めまでもが加わり、
再び打ち止めと御坂妹の鬼ごっこが始まる事となる。
その頃、打ち止めからのメッセージを聞いた一方通行は、
黄泉川の協力でおおよその居場所を突き止めて打ち止めを迎えに地下街へと向かっていたが、
途中で空腹で倒れていたインデックスと遭遇する事になる……


というのが第１８話の大まかなあらすじでしょうかね。
前回ほどではありませんが、今回も基本的には御坂祭でした。
まあ前回と異なるのは科学サイドのみならず、魔術サイドの日常も描いていたことでしょうかね。
ローラのM字開脚とか、オルソラの早脱ぎとか、下着を着けないねーちんとかw
浴衣だからと言い訳していたけど、アニメはともかく原作の衣装デザインでは、
普通に考えればどう見ても下着を着けているようには見えないんですよね……
片裾をハイレグ状にカットしたジーパンで、どうやって下着を隠せるのか？と。
ベージュ系の下着と肌色に近いスパッツでも穿いているなら、話は別ですが。
まあ、ブラを着けていないのはアニメでも第１期で確認出来ますけどね。

目印として指輪、と提示されたときの御坂妹の反応とその後の落胆っぷりがちょっと可愛い。
まあ、その後ヒヨコを模したお菓子を本物のヒヨコと勘違いしている辺り、
シスターズはまだまだ世間一般的な常識に疎いことが窺えますね。
１万体近い個体で相互に情報交換を行っているはずなんですけどねえ。
しかし指輪を貰う相手が上条さん限定だと、競争率は恐ろしいほどに高いですね。
そしていつの間にか御坂妹の追撃を振り切って、ちゃっかり上条さんの元に戻ってきた打ち止め。
しかし打ち止めに対する上条さんのあしらい方がインデックスに対する時と同じなのが……
まあそれは一方さんのインデックスのあしらい方が、打ち止めと同じでしたからおあいこかも。


インデックスと打ち止め、魔術と科学、すれ違う二つの主軸のヒロイン達。
そして魔術側の主人公(上条当麻)と科学側の主人公(一方通行)は互いに再会することなく、
お互いの事を知る由も無く異なる道を進んでいく。
学園都市のとある日常、なんでもない平穏な一日はそうして暮れて行くのだが、
二人の主人公の何気ない日常は前方のヴェントの襲来よって終わりを告げる事となる。
普段は知覚出来ない存在である風霧氷華が、学園都市に姿を現した理由とは？
「神の右席」前方のヴェントがもたらすものとは？
ロシアの二人の話を挟み、次回からいよいよ第２期最終章が幕を開ける。
