Fate/Zero補足情報その３

色々と謎の多いFateのストーリーや難解な専門用語を、少しでも理解出来るような補足情報です。
今回は第３話からの補足情報を色々と書いていきます。

Ｑ１：時臣はアーチャーのマスターなのに、何故アーチャーに謙った態度をとってるの？
Ａ１：大きな理由はアーチャーの性格的な問題です。傲岸不遜な態度からも察することが出来る
　　　ように、アーチャーは自分自身が一番偉いと認識しており、そういう英霊に対して高圧的な
　　　態度で臨めば却って反発を招くことにもなります。その為、自分の立場がアーチャーの忠臣
　　　であると認識させておく必要があったからです。
　　　そしてもう一つの理由は時臣が身分の上下を尊重する人物であり、一貴族に過ぎない自身
　　　が、王であるアーチャーに敬意を表すのは当然のこと、と考えているからでもあります。
　　　とはいえ、そういう関係である以上、アサシン撃退に際して勝手に街をふらつくアーチャーを
　　　説得するのにかなりの労力を費やさざるを得なかったようですが……

Ｑ２：ウェイバーは遠く離れた場所で、どうやってアサシンがやられたことを知ったの？
Ａ２：監視の為に遠坂邸を見張っていた使い魔の視力を横取りすることで、使い魔が見ている映像
　　　をそのまま自分が見ていたわけです。
　　　聖杯戦争に参加しているマスターのうち、所在が確定しているのは深山町に本宅を構える遠
　　　坂と間桐、冬木市郊外の森の中に別宅を構築しているアインツベルンの３箇所のみであり、
　　　使い魔で監視していれば必然的に始まりの御三家の動向は確認出来る事になります。
　　　当然ながら龍之介以外の他のマスターも十分それを承知しており、ウェイバーが見た映像は
　　　他の３人のマスターも見ていたことになります。

Ｑ３：ライダーが言っていたクリントンって誰？
Ａ３：第４次聖杯戦争当時のアメリカ合衆国大統領の名前で、恐らく第４２代アメリカ合衆国大統領
　　　ビル・クリントンをモデルにした人物のことです。
　　　彼の在任時期は１９９３年の１月から２００１年の１月までであり、加えて第３次聖杯戦争が開
　　　催されたのは第２次世界大戦下(１９３９年９月から１９４５年９月まで)であったことを考慮する
　　　と、第４次聖杯戦争は１９９９年か２０００年に行われていることが推測出来ます。

Ｑ４：言峰綺礼が教会に行ったのは何故？
Ａ４：サーヴァントが敗北したことで(表向きは)サーヴァントを失ったためです。
　　　聖堂教会の監督役は聖杯戦争を円滑に行うための現場監督として、聖杯戦争に敗北したマス
　　　ターが保護を求めて訪れた場合に限り、聖杯戦争終了まで身柄を預かり安全を保障する義務
　　　があります。
　　　このルールに則り、表向きは脱落した綺礼は保護を求めて教会を訪れたわけです。

Ｑ５：アサシンってアーチャーにやられたんじゃなかったの？それになんでいっぱいいるの？
Ａ５：アサシンのサーヴァントであるハサン・サッバーハは、山の長老と呼ばれた盗賊団の首領が
　　　代々引き継いでいる名前であり、その名を受け継いだ『歴代のハサン全て』が該当します。
　　　さらにハサンの持つ宝具・妄想幻像(ザバーニーヤ)は霊体ポテンシャルを細分化することで、
　　　自身を最大で８０体まで分裂することが可能となっています。
　　　つまり教会に現れたアサシンは歴代ハサンたちの一部であり、アサシンを構成するサーヴァン
　　　ト群ということになります。
　　　アーチャーにやられたのはこのうちの１体に過ぎず、残りの７９体がやられない限りアサシンが
　　　敗北したとは言えません。

Ｑ６：どうしてセイバーはスーツ姿なの？あとアイリスフィールと一緒にいる理由って何？
Ａ６：通常、サーヴァントは霊体化することでその姿を隠すことが出来ますが、アルトリアに限っては
　　　とある理由から霊体化が出来ないという欠落を抱えているためです。
　　　(理由については作品全体の最後の方で描かれるため、ここでは伏せておきます)
　　　つまり自分で姿を隠すことが出来ない以上、マスター同様に自分の足で移動するしか手段が
　　　無いわけですが、現代の特に日本ではアルトリアの装束は目立ち過ぎてしまうため、代わり
　　　の衣装としてアインツベルンがフランクフルト空港で用意した代物です。
　　　尤も、スーツ姿なのはアイリスフィールの趣味が多分に反映された結果ですが。
　　　セイバーがアイリスフィールと共に行動している理由は、セイバーと切嗣の性格的な不一致
　　　による戦略的な意味合いが非常に大きいです。
　　　暗殺者として相手の裏をかき影から狙撃するのを定石とする切嗣と、正面から正々堂々の
　　　真っ向勝負で撃破することを信条としているセイバーの組み合わせでは、戦場に於ける戦い
　　　方が真逆であり、それがお互いの能力を打ち消しかねないわけです。
　　　当然ながら、そんな状況で勝ち抜けるほど聖杯戦争が甘くないことは両者とも承知している。
　　　そこで互いの能力を十全に発揮するための、サーヴァントとマスターが完全に別行動をとる、
　　　という戦略を選択したわけですが、戦局の変化による対応をセイバーだけに依存するわけに
　　　はいかないため、アイリスフィールを戦場で状況判断を行う代理マスターとして採用しました。
　　　勿論これはセイバーのマスターがアイリスフィールである、と他のマスターたちに誤認させ、
　　　本来のマスターである切嗣の存在を他の陣営から隠す意味もあります。

Ｑ７：飛行機の操縦に関してセイバーは何処まで本気で言っているの？
Ａ７：最初から最後まで掛け値なしの本気です。
　　　第２話の補足情報(Q&A3)でも触れている通り、サーヴァントは現界した瞬間に聖杯から現代
　　　知識も付与されていますが、あくまでも「知識」に過ぎないのです。
　　　そのため、飛行機という乗り物が存在していることや空を飛ぶ理屈は知っていても、具体的に
　　　どのような仕組みで飛んでいるかまでは知らないわけです。
　　　まあコックピットのシートを鞍、操縦桿を手綱と捉えれば、セイバーの表現はあながち間違って
　　　いるとは言えませんが……

Ｑ８：アイリスフィールが聖杯戦争のために作られた人形とはどういう意味？
Ａ８：アイリスフィールはかつて冬の女王と呼ばれ、聖杯戦争の根幹を成す聖杯降霊の術式を構築
　　　したユスティーツァ・フォン・アインツベルンを母体として作り出された人造人間(ホムンクルス)
　　　です。従って普通の人間ではなく、魔術師にとっては人形と言い換えても差し支えの無い存在
　　　でもあります。ただしアインツベルンのホムンクルスは他の生物と掛け合わせる形で生み出さ
　　　れるのではなく、保管されているユスティーツァの細胞から生み出されたクローンのような性質
　　　が強いため、成育段階で魔術処理を施されて人体構成が人間とは異なるものの、ベースが人
　　　間の魔術師であるためか人間との交配も可能な生殖機能を有しているようです。
　　　アインツベルンの城にいるメイドたちもアイリスフィールと同じホムンクルスであり、肉体や精神
　　　の成熟度や戦闘能力に個体差が存在しています。

Ｑ９：切嗣が会っていた相手は何者で、どうやってあれだけの武器を揃えたの？
Ａ９：久宇舞弥という女性で、現役時代の切嗣の弟子であり、パートナーであり、道具です。
　　　１０年以上前に紛争地域を転戦していた切嗣が助けたゲリラの一人で、以後切嗣から戦闘術
　　　と魔術を教わり、現役時代は切嗣の手足として共に戦場を渡り歩いてきました。
　　　聖杯戦争に備えて切嗣が現役を退いて以降は、外界に於ける連絡要員として情報収集や定
　　　時報告などを行いながら、切嗣の指示の下に現地に於ける聖杯戦争の準備を整えていました。
　　　今回揃えられたのは現役時代に作り上げた武器調達のコネクションを通じ、アインツベルンの
　　　財力に物を云わせて集められており、中にはアメリカ軍の最新装備も含まれています。

Ｑ１０：舞弥はどうやってアーチャーとアサシンの戦闘を記録したの？
Ａ１０：前述通り遠坂邸の戦闘の様子は、龍之介以外のマスターは使い魔からの情報で既に把握
　　　　しています。その中でも舞弥の使い魔は他の使い魔と異なり、腹部に小型のカメラを搭載して
　　　　運用しており、使い魔としての敏捷性よりも多角的情報収集量の多さからこの手法を採用して
　　　　います。この小型カメラの映像を録画して残したことで、遠坂邸での戦闘が終わってから冬木
　　　　に入った切嗣もまた遠坂邸での顛末を知りえたわけです。

Ｑ１１：切嗣が預けていた古い銃は何？
Ａ１１：魔術師・衛宮切嗣の武器となる魔術礼装です。
　　　　一流の魔術師ともなると、自身の魔術効果を最大限かつ効率的に運用出来る特殊な魔道具
　　　　を所持しており、この魔道具のことを魔術礼装、或いは単純に礼装と呼びます。
　　　　切嗣の銃はトンプソン・センター・コンテンダー・カスタムといい、トンプソン・センターアームズ
　　　　が製作したライフル仕様の弾丸も発射可能な中折れ式単発銃を、魔弾と呼ばれる魔術処理が
　　　　施された特殊な弾丸を打ち出せるようにカスタマイズされた、世界に一挺しか存在しない切嗣
　　　　専用の銃です。
　　　　そのため決してお金で賄えるような代物ではなく、切嗣は現役引退の際に魔弾と共に舞弥に
　　　　預けていました。

Ｑ１２：セイバーが他のサーヴァントの存在に気付いたのは何故？
Ａ１２：サーヴァントは範囲に個人差はあるものの、一定距離内の他のサーヴァントの気配を感じ取る
　　　　能力が備わっています。セイバーの場合は半径２００ｍ以内で相手が何らかの力を行使して
　　　　いる場合に限って知覚することが可能となっています。
　　　　今回ランサーは意図的に気配を放出していたため、セイバーの感知能力に引っ掛かったわけ
　　　　です。当然、他のサーヴァントを誘き寄せる目的で気配を発していたため、ランサーの気配は
　　　　それに応じたセイバー共々ライダーにも捕捉されています。
　　　　ライダーの盛り上がってきたという発言は、戦闘が行われることを感じ取ったからですね。

Ｑ１３：ランサーが言っていた「互いに名乗りを上げられない縛り」とは？
Ａ１３：英霊としての真名を明かせない、という意味です。
　　　　サーヴァントはそれぞれ、生前に英雄として称えられた人物が死後、英霊の座と呼ばれる場
　　　　所から聖杯の力で招かれた存在なので、当然ながら逸話や伝承が数多く残されています。
　　　　そのため真名を知られてしまった場合、その英霊に関する伝承などからサーヴァントの弱点を
　　　　曝け出すことに直結してしまいます。
　　　　そのリスクを最小限に抑えるため、サーヴァントは真名では呼ばずに割り振られたクラス名で
　　　　呼称されているわけです。

Ｑ１４：セイバーの早着替えのカラクリは？
Ａ１４：単純に魔力で元の戦装束を再構成しただけです。
　　　　サーヴァントは存在自体が魔力の塊であり、彼らが身につけている服や鎧も魔力で出来てい
　　　　ます。某ＲＰＧの忍者みたいに、裸装備の方が攻撃力が高くなるのかも知れませんね。

Ｑ１５：セイバーが何も持っていないように見えるんだけど？
Ａ１５：単純に見えないだけです。
　　　　セイバーは風王結界(インビジブル・エア)という、空気を高密度に圧縮する宝具を所持して
　　　　おり、それを剣の周囲に纏わり付かせることで光の屈折率を変えています。
　　　　その為外からの光が剣まで届くことはなく、剣が消えたように見えるわけです。
　　　　ようは透明なガラスのコップの下に１０円玉を置いてコップの中に水を注いでいくと、上から
　　　　覗けば１０円玉は見えるのに横からだと１０円玉が消えたように見えるのと同じ原理です。
