Fate/Zeroの第２１話を見ました。
ライダーとの決着をつけるために外出したセイバー、そしてライダーとセイバーの戦いを利用して
時臣の暗殺を試みた切嗣。両者不在の隙を突くように現れたライダーは舞弥に重傷を負わせ、
アイリスフィールを拉致したのだが……

-#21　双輪の騎士-

遠坂時臣から与えられた情報を元にウェイバー・ベルベットの拠点へと赴いたセイバーだったが、
ライダー不在で奇襲は空振りに終わった事を知る。
だが彼らが再び戻ってくる事を期待し離れた場所から民家を監視していたセイバーは、アイリス
フィールが隠れ潜む土蔵へ切嗣の令呪によって強制的に帰還させられ、重傷を負っていた久宇
舞弥からアイリスフィールがライダーに拉致された事を聞かされる。
過去の経緯からライダーが拉致したという舞弥の証言に疑問を抱くセイバーではあったが、実際
にアイリスフィールを抱えて逃走するライダーの姿を視認し、彼女を救出するためにライダーの追
跡を開始する。
ビルの上を飛び移りながら新都方面へと逃走するライダーを、予め切嗣から与えられていたV-M
AXを駆って追走するセイバーだが、直線的に移動出来るライダーに対し敷かれた道を進むしか
ないセイバーは徐々に離されその姿を見失ってしまうが、新都目前で飛行宝具の魔力を感じ取っ
て追走を再開する。

魔力を回復し、アインツベルンの城を目指していたライダーとウェイバーは、後方から追ってくるバ
イクの存在に気が付き、追って来ているのがセイバーと知るや騎兵としての決着をつけるために
わざわざ着陸して騎兵戦へと移行する。
追走するセイバーに対し、砂防壁やアスファルトを抉って攻撃を仕掛けるライダー。
だが、ライダーに追いついたセイバーは御者台にアイリスフィールの姿がないことを認め、自身が
何者かに謀られた事を知る。

一方で舞弥の最後を看取った切嗣は、アイリスフィールの捜索のため間桐邸へと侵入していた。
しかしそこにはアイリスフィールの姿はなく、頭主の鶴野が彼女の行方を知らないことから、アイ
リスフィールを拉致したのが彼にとって最悪の敵である言峰綺礼であることを知り歯噛みするの
だった。
そして冬木市のとある一角には綺礼とバーサーカーのマスターである雁夜、そして何故か国道で
セイバーと騎兵戦を繰り広げているはずのライダーの姿があるのだが……


というのが第２１話の大まかなあらすじですね。
今回の用語解説は少なめです。
魔力放出
セイバーが持つ固有スキルの一つ。
自身の魔力を任意に放出するセイバーの力の源ともいえるスキルの事で、本来は手足や剣から
放出する事で敏捷性や破壊力、攻撃速度を大幅に向上させる事が出来る。
元々高い加速性能を持っているV-MAXに特殊なチューニングを施して仕上げられたマシンは、直
線の加速性能を競うドラッグレース専用と呼んでも差し支えない状況になっており、『速いけれど
曲がれない』バイクになっているため、このスキルを用いて強引な方向転換を行っている。
また、高出力のエンジンを積んだバイクで高加速を行うと、トルク(車体を前進させるために駆動輪
に掛かるエネルギーのこと)が高過ぎて車体の重心が後方にかかり前輪が浮き上がる、パワーリ
フト(所謂ウィリー状態のこと)になってしまう。
この状態だとせっかくの前進する力が分散されてしまうため、前輪を地面に押さえつけてトルクの
全てを加速に転換するためにも用いている。
モーターキュイラッシュ
サーヴァントであるセイバーの操縦に限界を迎え始めたV-MAXのフレームを、セイバーの鎧を応
用する事で補強した形状の事。
イメージとしては馬鎧(カタフラクト)と呼ばれる、騎馬を守る装甲を取り付けた感じ。
乗りこなすというよりも力技で押さえつける操縦技術のため、駆動系やフレームに過度な負荷が
掛かって走行中に分解しかねないことを騎乗スキルで感じ取ったセイバーが、ぶっつけ本番で
実行して完成させた。
キュイラッシュは胸部を守る鎧の一つ、キュイラスから来ているものと思われる。
風王結界(インビジブル・エア)
対人宝具　ランク：Ｃ　レンジ：１～２　最大補足人数：１
セイバーが所持する宝具の一つで、対人宝具。
高密度の空気を圧縮する事で光の屈折率を変え、物質を透明に見せる事が出来る代物で、本来
は聖剣の姿を覆い隠し正体の隠匿と間合いを計らせないことを目的としているため、宝具自体に
殺傷能力はない。
大気は気圧の高いところから低いところへと流れる特性があり、物体が高速で移動するとその後
方の気圧が一時的に低くなる。その一時的に低くなった気圧が元に戻ろうとするときに、後方の
大気を吸い込もうとするため、後方の物体もまた引き寄せられることになる。
この原理を利用して前を走る車両を追い抜くために高加速を得る技術がモータースポーツに於ける
スリップストリームと呼ばれるものであり、セイバーは風王結界をV-MAXの前方に対して鏃型に展
開することで、常にスリップストリームを利用出来る状況を作り出しライダーとの距離を詰めた。
ニトロチャージャー
ドラッグレースなどで用いられる高加速用装置のことで、単純にニトロとも呼ばれる。
エンジンは通常、シリンダー内で圧縮した霧状のガソリンを空気と混合した気化燃料に着火・燃焼
させることでピストンの要領でシリンダーを圧力で押し、シリンダーに直結しているクランクを回すこ
とで動力を得ている。そのため、シリンダーの運動運動速度を速めることでエンジンは高い出力を
発揮し、車体の加速性能が向上する。
ニトロチャージャーはこの気化燃料に亜酸化窒素(ニトロオキサイド)ガスを混入させる事でシリンダ
ーの運動速度を強制的に高め、爆発的な加速力を得る事が可能となる。
己が栄光の為でなく（フォー・サムワンズ・グロウリー）
対人宝具　ランク：Ｂ　レンジ：０　最大補足人数：１
バーサーカーの宝具の一つ。
本来の能力は任意の人物の外見を模倣する擬態能力、即ち変身能力だが、狂化によるランクダ
ウンの影響で真の姿とステータスの隠蔽までしか発揮出来ない。
雁夜は令呪を一つ消費する事で、バーサーカーに本来の能力を使用させている。


いよいよ最終局面へと向かって動き始めたFate/Zero。
前半はライダーＶＳセイバーの騎兵戦が中心な訳ですが、強いてあげるならV-MAX使っているの
に何故代名詞ともいえるVブーストシステムの演出をカットしたのか、という不満がありますかね。
ニトロでエンジンの内燃機構演出を入れるより、Vブーストシステム起動時の機構演出の方が良
かったかも、というのが個人的な感想です。
あと、雁夜おじさんのアニキである鶴夜がおもいっきりワカメでしたね。
本当にびっくりするほどワカメで、子ワカメもきっと成長するとあんな感じになるんでしょう。
性格的にもさすが親子というべきか本当に良く似ているため、ワカメは虚栄心の固まりか？と言
いたくなりますね。

臓硯の爺さんは化け物っぷりを発揮。お爺ちゃん、頭半分無くなってますよー。
というか、なんでそれで生きてるのさ？
さすがに５００年も生きてる化け物は違いますね。

そして、やっぱりこうなっちゃったか、の雁夜おじさん。
いや、最初からそういう予感はあったわけですよね。というか冷静に考えれば、当たり前の話。
桜を助けるためには聖杯が必要だけど、その為には最後まで勝ち抜かなきゃいけないわけで、
時臣さんに勝たなきゃいけないわけですが時臣さんを生かしておくわけないし。
桜を助けるために桜の父親を殺すという矛盾に気付いていなかったというか、魔術師憎し・時臣
憎しでその部分を失念していたというか、ともかく最初から桜に救いが無い事に気付いていなか
ったのが問題かな？と。
案の定、葵さんに罵られた事で逆ギレして今度は精神崩壊を起こすとかもう……いや、極悪神父
に謀られたとはいえ自業自得なだけに、あまり同情は出来ませんけどね。

アイリスフィールの消息が掴めずに焦りが募るセイバーと、言峰綺礼との対決が不可避のもので
あるという覚悟を固めた切嗣。
そして聖杯戦争終盤に於ける切り札を手中に収め、切嗣との対決の準備を進めていく綺礼。
いよいよ第４次聖杯戦争最後の１日が始まる。
