Fate/Zero補足情報その２２

色々と謎の多いFateのストーリーや難解な専門用語を、少しでも理解出来るような補足情報です。
今回は第２２話からの補足情報を色々と書いていきます。

Ｑ１：ウェイバーは何故徒歩で帰ってきたの？
Ａ１：ライダーの魔力を温存するためです。
　　　前々回の２０話でも触れられていますが、ライダーの使う王の軍勢はとんでもない程の魔力を
　　　消耗します。具体的には見習いレベルの魔術師では１回使用する毎に立っているのが困難に
　　　なるほどで、その影響がウェイバーに及んでいなかったのは、本来はウェイバーが負担するべ
　　　き魔力をライダーが自前の魔力で補ってきたからです。
　　　(実際UBWでマスター不在でも２日間は現界出来る単独行動のスキルを持つアーチャーです
　　　ら、固有結界を展開したあとの魔力は半日程度の猶予しか無かった)
　　　それ故に、対アーチャー戦の切り札となる王の軍勢の持続時間を少しでも長くするため、ライ
　　　ダーの魔力を温存する目的で霊体化させていたわけです。

Ｑ２：切嗣は何故寺で待ち伏せていたの？
Ａ２：綺礼に対して先手を打つためです。
　　　そもそも聖杯戦争は『聖杯を手に入れるための戦い』ではなく、『聖杯を作り出すための戦い』
　　　です。従って他の陣営のサーヴァントを脱落させ、最後の１組となった陣営は聖杯を降臨させ
　　　るための儀式を経る必要があります。
　　　つまり勝者の下に聖杯が現れるのではなく、勝者となったものに聖杯を降臨させる権利、即ち
　　　聖杯を手に入れる権利が与えられるというわけです。
　　　その為聖杯戦争では他の陣営を脱落させていくのと同時に、聖杯の基となる聖杯の器を確保
　　　し、聖杯を降臨させるための儀式場を押さえる必要性があります。
　　　冬木の地で儀式場として使えるのは霊格の高い順に切嗣が押さえた円蔵山の寺・遠坂邸・言
　　　峰教会・市民会館の４ヶ所しかなく、このうち２番目の遠坂邸と３番目の言峰教会を綺礼が放
　　　棄したことから、切嗣は円蔵山を儀式場に選ぶと睨んで先に乗り込み、綺礼を迎撃しようとし
　　　たわけです。
　　　また円蔵山は寺を基点とした強力な結界が展開されているため、地脈の入り口である参道以
　　　外からサーヴァントが侵入を試みた場合、例え寺に辿り着けてもその能力が大きく損なわれて
　　　しまうため、先に押さえておくと迎撃がし易いという利点があったからです。

Ｑ３：切嗣が言っていた「また一人になった」とはどういう意味？
Ａ３：言葉通りの意味です。
　　　ナタリアを喪ってから舞弥を拾うまでの間、切嗣が単独で封印指定執行者としての任務を行
　　　った回数は意外に少なく、殆どが他の封印指定執行者とチームを組んで行っていました。
　　　当然ながらその過程でナタリアの時のようにパートナーを見殺しにするような状況に陥る事も
　　　多々あり、助けられないチームを組んだ相手を切り捨ててきたわけです。
　　　(これはアイリスフィールの「切嗣は愛する人を切り捨てる決断を常に迫られてきた」という台
　　　詞に通じる)

Ｑ４：綺礼は何故アイリスフィールを生かしておいたの？
Ａ４：切嗣に関する疑問点を問い質すためです。
　　　そもそも綺礼は自分の生に関して意味や価値を他者よりも強く求め、結局それらを見出せず
　　　に生きてきた人間です。
　　　父親と同じ聖職者の道に進んだのもその為であり、聖堂教会の辞令に従って時臣を師事し、
　　　魔術の鍛錬を行っていたのも聖堂教会の教えでは答えを得られなかったのが要因です。
　　　そして答えを得るために一つの物事に強く打ち込むため、周囲の人間には彼が誠実で勤勉
　　　な人間であるという印象を与えてしまうわけです。
　　　そういう意味では、璃正や時臣は綺礼のことを全く理解していなかった、と言えます。
　　　では何故綺礼は切嗣に対して拘るのかと言えば、その答えは第１話まで遡ります。
　　　切嗣は現役を引退するまでの間、封印指定執行者として活動する傍らで紛争地域の戦闘に
　　　何度も介入しています。そんな切嗣の行動から、綺礼は彼が自分と同じように自身の生に関
　　　する意味や価値を求めていた人間だと考え、それらの行動を行わなくなったアインツベルンと
　　　の邂逅でどんな答えを得たのかを知りたかったわけです。
　　　つまり綺礼は聖杯戦争開始当初、アインツベルンの悲願である第三魔法の再現を果たすため
　　　に切嗣は後方及び側面支援でアインツベルンを勝たせるために参加している、と考えていた
　　　わけです。
　　　ところがアインツベルンの森で行われた遭遇戦に於いて、アイリスフィールと舞弥が自分達の
　　　意志で迎撃してきたという事実から切嗣に対する疑問が生じ、切嗣は自分と同じ人間という評
　　　価が誤っているのではないか？と考えるようになっていったわけです。
　　　その疑問を少しでも解くためにはアイリスフィールともう一度話をする必要があり、わざわざ生か
　　　したまま連れて来るようにさせたわけです。
　　　しかし綺礼の予想とは異なり、切嗣は人の身では叶えられない「ありえない願望」を抱いたた
　　　めに、最初から持っていた意味や価値を、無意味で無価値なものに変えて来ただけだと知っ
　　　て答えを与えられないことに失望し、同時に自身が求めていた意味や価値を冒涜された事で
　　　恨みを抱いて、その復讐として切嗣の希望である聖杯を彼の眼前で破壊しようと決意したわ
　　　けです。

Ｑ５：何故ウェイバーは令呪を使い切ったの？
Ａ５：ライダーの邪魔にならないためです。
　　　前回のセイバーとの戦闘で神威の車輪を失った際、セイバーに勝てなかった最大の要因は
　　　ライダーがマスターである自分を庇ったことだとウェイバーは気付いていました。
　　　つまり未熟な見習い魔術師である自分が、ライダーの足枷になっていることを痛感させられ
　　　てしまったわけです。
　　　しかも次に戦う事になるであろうアーチャーはセイバーよりも強いであろうことは、王の軍勢
　　　を温存した事からも明白であり、自分が共に戦場に立てば再びライダーの勝機を逸する結
　　　果にもなりえると考え、自らマスターとしての権利を放棄する事でライダーが全力で戦える
　　　状況を作り出したかったからです。

Ｑ６：積み上げられたアイリスフィールは何？
Ａ６：あれはアインツベルンが作り出したアイリスフィール以前のホムンクルスの残骸です。
　　　アインツベルンのホムンクルスは聖杯の大元である大聖杯の根幹を成す冬の女王、ユスティ
　　　ーツァ・リズライヒ・フォン・アインツベルンを基にして作り出されており、ユスティーツァとは魂
　　　の部分が繋がっています。当然ながらアイリスフィールもユスティーツァを基に作られたホム
　　　ンクルスの一つであり、あのホムンクルスの残骸はユスティーツァでありアイリスフィールでも
　　　ある、とも言えます。
