Fateに関するお話は、小説版で一区切りを付けようかと……
というわけで、今回はFate/Zeroのお話第１弾。
このお話はTYPE-MOONのゲーム、Fate/stay nightを基にした、原作から１０年前のお話。
奈須きのこ監修の下、NITORO＋の虚淵玄が書き上げたもう一つのFate。
断片的にしか描かれなかった、第４次聖杯戦争の物語です。

-第四次聖杯戦争秘話-
聖杯戦争――――――
奇跡を叶える願望器たる聖杯を手にするための、７人の魔術師による凄惨な殺し合い。
魔術師は各々「サーヴァント」と呼ばれる英霊の写し身を僕とし、戦いへと望む。
この聖杯戦争を始めた３人の魔術師、「はじまりの御三家」の一つであるアインツベルンは戦闘に不向きな為、過去３度の聖杯戦争を尽く緒戦で敗退していた。
その教訓を活かし、彼らが４度目の切り札として用意したのは外来の魔術師。
それは当時、「魔術師殺し」の異名で恐れられていた衛宮切嗣と、聖杯戦争最優のサーヴァントたるセイバーに据えられた騎士王だった。
高潔な精神を持つ騎士王アルトリアと、
闇討ちを身上とする魔術師殺しの切嗣。
自身と相反する存在であるセイバーを十全に機能させるため、切嗣はある秘策を打ち出す。
奇跡を手にするのは一人だけ……
冬木という小さな街を舞台に、４度戦争の名を借りた殺し合いの幕が上がる。

-王たちの狂宴-
キャスターとそのマスターは、聖杯戦争を無視して己が私欲のために動き始める。
それは聖杯戦争の存続そのものを危うくさせる行為だった。
事態を憂慮した監督役はその権限に於いて、聖杯戦争の一時中断とキャスター討伐の令を全ての参加者に伝える。
監督役が褒賞として示したのは、サーヴァントを律する令呪の追加。
各マスターがキャスター討伐に動き始める中、切嗣はそんなマスターを背後から討つために動き始める。

一方、緒戦に於いてサーヴァントを失い、聖杯戦争から脱落したはずの言峰綺礼は、切嗣との邂逅を果たすために独自に暗躍を始めていた。
様々な思惑が絡み合い、混沌として行く聖杯戦争。
戦いの果てに待ち受けているものとは!?

全４巻からなる作品ですが、展開が大きく動くのは３巻以降……
１・２巻はどちらかというと小競り合いに近い形ですね。
まあ、切嗣は色々と暗躍して、戦闘シーンが多いのですが。
ケイネスと切嗣の戦闘とか、なかなか凝っているというか……
表現の仕方が上手いな、って感心させられる。
結構、読み返したくなる作品ですね。

Fate/Zero　登場キャラ　魔術師編その１

衛宮切嗣　　CV:小山力也
セイバーの真のマスターで、かつて正義の味方になることを夢見た魔術師。
世界を救済する方法を探し続け、アインツベルンに請われた事で聖杯の奇跡に望みを託す。
魔術を道具としか見ておらず、魔術師の思考の陥穽を利用して魔術に頼らず魔術師を殺す。
その魔術師らしからぬ戦い方から、「魔術師殺し」の忌み名で恐れられていた。
言峰との最終決戦の最中に聖杯の力に触れ、
それが自身の願っていた「都合の良い力」と異なると知るや、聖杯を拒絶。
令呪を用いて、セイバーに聖杯を破壊させるも目標指定を誤り、
結果として冬木の街に未曾有の大惨事を招くこととなった。
焼け跡で死に掛けていた士郎に「全て遠き理想郷」を埋め込みその命を救うと、
彼を養子として引き取り育て始める。
来るべき第５次聖杯戦争を未然に防ぐための仕掛けを施すものの、
その成果を見届けることなくこの世を去った。

アイリスフィール・フォン・アインツベルン　　CV:大原さやか
切嗣の妻で、イリヤの母。雪のような長い銀髪と赤い瞳が特徴。
聖杯の器に人型の偽装を施して作成されたホムンクルス(人造人間)で、
表向きのセイバーのマスターでもある。
(これは切嗣の存在を秘匿するためと、セイバーと切嗣の相性の悪さゆえ)
宝具「全て遠き理想郷」を所持していたが、切嗣が最終決戦に臨む前に返還。
その後、ライダーに偽装したバーサーカーの襲撃を受けて拉致され、言峰に殺された。

久宇舞弥　　CV:恒松あゆみ
戦場に於ける切嗣のパートナーであり、助手。魔術師としての関係は弟子にあたる。
切嗣がアインツベルンに入ってからは、外とアインツベルンとの橋渡しをし、
切嗣のために様々な情報を集めたり、交渉を担当してきた。
戦場で切嗣によって救われたことで、切嗣のために命を惜しまない。
また、聖杯戦争の最中、アイリスフィールと奇妙な友情を結ぶこととなる。
アイリスフィールの護衛を担当していたが、
バーサーカーの奇襲を受けて瀕死の重症を負い、切嗣の腕の中で息を引き取った。

遠坂時臣　　CV:速水奨
聖杯戦争の舞台である冬木市のセカンドオーナー、遠坂家の現当主。
宝石魔術の使い手で、聖杯戦争の監督役たる言峰璃正と密約を交わしている。
アーチャーのマスターであり、典型的な魔術師でもある。
「常に優雅たれ」という家訓を忠実に守っており、思慮深く様々な予防線を張っていた。
そこには自身の死後の配慮も含まれており、綺礼に凛の後見人を依頼する。
だが、信義を重んじる傾向が強く、綺礼の持つ心の闇には最後まで気付かなかった。
その為、アーチャーと密約を交わした綺礼から、自身が与えた儀礼用短剣で
背後から刺し殺される。

遠坂葵　　CV:伊藤葉純
時臣の妻で、凛と桜の母親。
一般人だが、魔術遺伝が高い体質であることから時臣に見初められる。
しかしその能力の優秀さが災いし、
生まれてきた二人の娘は共に稀有な才能を有していた。
逆上した間桐雁夜によって絞殺されかけたことが原因で、
脳に障害を負ってしまった。

言峰璃正　　CV:広瀬正志
魔術協会と対立する組織、聖堂教会から派遣されてきた神父で、綺礼の父。
聖遺物の回収を主とする秘蹟管理部に所属し、先代の遠坂家当主とは
古い友人である。
それ故か、本来公正であるべき監督役にも関らず、他のマスターの情報を与えたり、
綺礼を時臣の弟子にしたりと、時臣が優位になるように取り計らう。
ランサーのマスターであるケイネスにキャスター討伐の褒賞を与えるものの、
他のマスターに令呪が渡るのを恐れたケイネスの手によって殺害されてしまう。

言峰綺礼　　CV:中田譲治
璃正の息子で、聖堂教会の暗部たる代行者。
中国拳法の中でも最強といわれる八極拳の使い手で、その戦闘力は切嗣曰く死徒と互角。
令呪を授かったことから時臣の弟子となり、魔術の修行に打ち込む。
その後、聖杯戦争を目前に控えた段階で、時臣とは決別(表面上の話)
アサシンのマスターで、隠密性と諜報能力を駆使し、
他のマスターとサーヴァントの情報を集めて時臣をバックアップした。
後に師である時臣を殺害し、アーチャーのマスターとなる。
切嗣と死闘を演じるも、最終的に敗北。
アーチャーが聖杯の力に触れることで、その力が流入し命を繋ぎとめる。
聖杯戦争終結後、時臣の遺言に従い凛の後見人となる。

i saw them at family values and i love them but i do agree that her performance was weak……it wasnt the worst i’ve seen but it wasnt as exciting as it was last year when i saw her….but i do not think that her religous beliefes have anything to do with it….i think it is laziness and lack of motivation………but despite that i still love flyleaf! the music is great!
