行くぞ、アスラーダ！

何故今更
という気がしなくもありませんが、新型の水素自動車の登場です。
ちなみに販売車ではなく、リース車だそうですよ。
ホンダのクラリティと同じですね。

エコカーの先駆け的な存在で日本でも開発が行われていましたが、
確か安全性や技術的問題がクリア出来なかったので実用化はまだだったはず。
クラリティも正確には水素燃料電池の車ですからね。

水素を作り出すためにコストが掛かりすぎること、
水素を用いることでエンジンのパーツが劣化してしまうこと、
これらを含む様々な技術的問題が開発を遅らせていますからね。

その他にも、妥協点のハイブリッド車や電気自動車の開発で、
水素自動車のメリットが薄まったのも大きな要因でしょうが……

まあ、アルコール系の燃料はモータースポーツで採用されていますけどね。
実際、IRCのマシン燃料はエタノールですから。
ただ、エタノールって燃えたときに炎が見えないんですよね……
だからインディーの中継で極稀にですが、ピットで踊っている人がいる。
体に掛かったエタノールに引火して燃えているからなんだけど、
事情を知らないと踊っているようにしか見えませんが……

で、この記事のタイトルは水素自動車繋がりと言うことで……
昔やっていた、水素燃料を使ったモータースポーツのアニメからです。

なにしろ、２０年近く前のアニメなので……
知らない人がいてもおかしくないからね。
