CANAAN 第２話

色々とありそうなカナンとマリアの過去。
今回はちょこっとだけ、それが垣間見れます。

第２話-邪気乱遊戯-

蛇の首領であるアルファルドを捕らえたCIAは、
護送中に所属不明の戦闘ヘリから攻撃を受けて全滅してしまう。
一方、実は昨夜の祭で銃撃戦を繰り広げた少女、
カナンがマリアの知人であることを知る。
カナンのことを友達と断言するマリア。
食事に出掛けた実とマリアは、謎の二人組から命を狙われることに……

舞台が上海であるにも拘らず、
お店の足マットの文字が日本語で書かれていたのはわざとでしょうか？

２年前の渋谷で起こったウィルステロ。
その被害者であり、
ウィルス感染者唯一の生き残りであることが判明したマリアだが、
カナンとの出会いは旅行先で助けられた、という件がある。
とは言っても、ウィルステロ当時のマリアの記憶は無い状態らしいので、
ひょっとしたら渋谷でカナンとマリアは出会っているのかもね。

タクシーを止めるため車の前に飛び出したり、
追われている状況下でタクシー運転手がかけた曲を一緒に歌ったり、
銃撃戦を繰り広げるカナンと遊びに行く約束を取り付けたり……
マリアってかなり大物なのかも。

何らかの意図があって単独で動いていたアルファルド。
彼女は一体何をしようとしているのか!?

そして、判明するカナンの能力の一端。
未来予知に近い能力みたいですね。

ザ・ワールド!?……あれは時を止めるのか。
キング・クリムゾン!?……って、あれは時を飛ばす能力ですね。

近いのは、うちはサスケの車輪眼による先読みかな……

しかし……
日本の年頃の女の子は、あやとりで遊ぶことは稀だと思うのですが……
どう考えても、マリアの影響ですね。
