君に届け 第３話

君に届けの第３話を見ました。
というわけで、感想です。

第３話-放課後-

期せずして席替えで風早の隣となった爽子。
しかし他人とのコミュニケーションが苦手な爽子は、
千鶴とあやねに朝の挨拶をしようとするが、
なかなか上手くいかなかった。

家庭の事情によって休職を余儀なくされた荒井 善行に代わり、
臨時で担任を務めることとなった副担任の荒井 一市は、
出席簿の作成を生徒に押し付け、
爽子はその役目を引き受けることになる。

放課後、一人で作業をしていた爽子は、
職員室に呼び出されながらも抜け出してきた風早に、
「もっと皆と仲良くなりたい」という自らの心情を打ち明け、
風早はそんな爽子に自分から前へ踏み出す勇気を与える。
そして再び呼び出された風早と入れ違うように、
教室へ姿を見せた遠藤 朋実・平野 依里子の二人に、
精一杯自分の気持ちを伝えた爽子は、
二人の協力で出席簿を作り上げていく。

犬に「ペドロ・マルチネス」はねーよ!!
というわけで、新キャラのピンこと一市の発言と、
爽子の「可愛い」という鶴の一声で、
前回登場した野良犬はメジャーリーガーのお名前を頂く事になりました。
ちなみに名前の由来となったペドロ・マルチネス選手とは……
現在フィラデルフィア・フィリーズに在籍している、
メジャーでも指折りの好投手。
今シーズンで実働１８年目ですが、１７年間の通算防御率は2.91。
サイ・ヤング賞(NPBでいう沢村賞)を歴代５位タイの３回受賞した選手で、
(最多受賞は元ヤンキースのロジャー・クレメンスで７回)
小柄なこともあり、イメージとしては東京ヤクルトの石川投手と、
東北楽天の岩隈投手を足して２で割ったような感じでしょうかね。
コーナーでのボールの出し入れが出来る精密なコントロールで、
奪三振を築いてきた技巧派です。
ついでに補足しておきますが、
沢村賞はサイ・ヤング賞の真似をしたわけではありませんよ。
沢村賞は1947年設立で対象は先発投手限定、
サイ・ヤング賞は1956年設立で先発・中継ぎ問わずなので……

風早くん、格好良いです。爽やか過ぎます。
しかも成り行きから爽子の本当の笑顔を皆に見られて、
ちょっと拗ねちゃう辺りがなんとも……
あの笑顔を独り占めしたいだなんて、なんて我侭なんだろう。
気持ちは判らんでもないが……
誰でも"好きな人の一番良い表情を『自分にだけ』見せて欲しい"って、
考えるのではないでしょうかね。(えっ……私だけ？)

休日にやっていることが勉強って……
お前は羽川翼か!?
とツッコミたくなるような爽子ですが、
勉強すれば頭痛が治る羽川でも、さすがに妄想しながら勉強はしないですね。
そして実は「他人に物事を教えるのが上手い」という特技が発覚する爽子。
コミュニケーション能力を磨けば、家庭教師向きの特技ですな。
実は爽子って「学年一位の成績」とかいう設定があるのでは？

風早の後押しもあって朋実と依里子の誤解も解き、
友達が徐々に増え始めた爽子ですが、
どうも自然に笑うというのがまだまだ苦手なようで……
そして周りとコミュニケーションをとっていくことにテンパってる爽子は、
まだまだ風早の好意を好意レベルで受け止めてますね。

そして爽子妨害のために動き出したあーや……じゃなかった、くるみ。
第一弾はどうやら、
千鶴とあやねの悪評を吹聴している張本人に仕立て上げることのようですが、
校内で先行している爽子のイメージからこれは難しいのでは？

ともかく、くるみが動き出したことで爽子の気持ちの変化に、
一つの契機が出てきました。
風早の気持ちは完全に爽子の方を向いていますが、
爽子は未だ自覚が出来ていないので勝負は５分５分の状態。
しかしくるみは肝心なところで自爆しそうな雰囲気を持っていますので、
爽子がどの段階で自分の気持ちに気付けるかが勝敗の分かれ目かな。

確かにそっちよりはまだセンスがありますねw
サイ・ヤング賞の方はわりと規定が緩いですね。
沢村賞は先発限定ですから。

去年の沢村賞は楽天の岩隈でしたが、
今年は該当者無しに終わる可能性も否定できませんね。
勝ち星と防御率の関係で言えば１５勝1.78のダルビッシュ、
しかし涌井は最多勝の１６勝を挙げて最多完投の１１(唯一の二桁完投)、
最多投球イニングの211と1/3(唯一の200イニング越え)ですし、
防御率も全体で５位(パでは２位)の2.30ですから、
可能性としてはダルより涌井でしょうけど……
