ソ・ラ・ノ・ヲ・ト 第３話

ソ・ラ・ノ・ヲ・トの第３話を見ました。着任早々の幽霊騒動で、
クレハから正式に小隊の一員として迎えられたカナタだったが……

第３話-隊ノ一日・梨旺走ル-

カナタがセーズの時告ゲ砦に着任してから数日、
向上しない起床喇叭は徐々に街の名物となり始めていた。

その日の食事当番だったカナタは、
自分の郷土料理の一つである味噌汁を振舞うが、
茶碗の底に残っていた味噌の残り粕を見て、
あることを思い出し落ち込んでしまう。

フィリシアとクレハが補給物資の受け取り、
ノエルが工房へと出掛けて留守になる午後を利用し、
リオはマウスピースによる喇叭の特訓をカナタに課す。

休憩中、軍隊に志願した理由を問い質すリオ。
カナタは音楽を習いたいから、と正直に答えるのだが、
明確な目的を持つ者は、なんとなく入ってくる奴より、
(軍人として)長持ちするからそれでも構わないと言われる。
だがそんな話の最中、カナタは突然高熱を発して倒れてしまうのだった。

かつて母親を助けることが出来なかった経験から、
教会関係者を役立たずの迷信を振りかざして、
金をせびる連中と忌諱していたリオだったが、
補給の遅れから薬も既に底を尽いていた事を知ると、
カナタを助けるために街の教会に助力を仰ぐのだが……

第３話なわけですが、まずは劇中曲のお話から始めましょうかね。
多脚型戦車「タケミカヅチ」の演奏やリオの鼻歌、
カナタの幼い頃の回想でのイリアの演奏など頻繁に流れたこの曲は、
賛美歌の一つである「アメイジング・グレイス」といい、
特にアメリカで愛唱された曲です。
(賛美歌というのは、教会の礼拝や集会などで歌われる、
神を讃える歌のこと。学校の音楽で習う「ハレルヤ」も賛美歌の一つです)

ドラマやCM、アニメ、ゲーム、スポーツといった、
様々な媒体で使用されているのみならず、
様々な歌手がカバー曲やアレンジ曲を出しているので、
曲名を知らなくても一度は聞いたことがある、
という人が殆どなのではないでしょうか？

有名どころでは中島美嘉さんや故・本田美奈子さん、
Jリーグのジェフユナイテッド市原・千葉のチャント、
(サポーターのアカペラによる合唱のこと)
ドラマ・白い巨塔(２００３年放送版)のテーマソングなどで、
アニメでは今回を除いて一番最近だと、
２００８年公開の劇場版名探偵コナン「戦慄の楽譜」でしょうかね。
その前にもエウレカなどで使用されていたりしますが……

タケミカヅチのデータベースに、
何故この曲が残っていたのかは全く持って謎ですが。

幼い頃に母親を助けてもらえなかったことから、
教会の人間を目の敵にしていたリオ。
しかし薬が無く他に頼れるところも無いことから、
カナタを助けるために教会に助力を請うわけですが。
カナタを診察したユミナから薬を分けてもらったものの、
それで母親の件を忘れることが出来ないリオは、
あくまで軍人として謝辞を述べることに。
今のところリオにとっては、あれが精一杯の譲歩なんでしょうね。
しかし、カナタが倒れた時のリオの取り乱し方が凄いですね。

自分のことを味噌っかすといって落ち込むカナタと、
不要なものなど無いのだと励ますリオ。
その中で少しだけリオとイリアの関係が描かれていますが、
リオの持っている鈴が気になりますね。
果たして、イリアは存命なのか？それとも……

結局環境の変化と疲労から来る熱であることが判明し、
大事には至らなかったカナタですが……

I'm not sure why but this web site is loading incredibly slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a problem on my end? I'll check back later on and see if the problem still exists.
