Fate/Zero補足情報その１０

色々と謎の多いFateのストーリーや難解な専門用語を、少しでも理解出来るような補足情報です。
今回は第１０話からの補足情報を色々と書いていきます。

Ｑ１：冒頭の凛は何をやっているの？
Ａ１：対象に自身の魔力を注ぎ込む、宝石魔術に於ける基礎段階の修行を行っています。
　　　具体的には宝石に魔力を注ぎ、異なる形状へと作り変えるという課題です。宝石に注ぎ込む
　　　魔力を制御するための修行であり、注ぎ込む魔力の量が少なければ宝石を変形させる事が
　　　出来ず、逆に量が多すぎれば宝石が壊れてしまう。
　　　凛が行っていたのはこの匙加減を修得するための修行で、魔力を注ぎすぎたために宝石が
　　　破損してしまったわけです。

Ｑ２：凛の修行って綺礼ではなく、常に時臣が見ているの？
Ａ２：基本的に魔術は一子相伝であり、頭主が次期後継者と定めた相手にのみ伝えられます。
　　　これは先祖から受け継いだ魔術の特性や研究成果を継承させるのには、外部から適正者を
　　　探し出すより血縁者の方が適正が高く容易であるという点が理由の一つとして挙げられます。
　　　ただし、どんなに素質のある魔術師であろうとも生まれたときから魔術の知識を有しているわ
　　　けではありませんので、基礎的な知識を習得させるための初級魔術の修行が行われます。
　　　この初級魔術の伝承という部分に於いては、魔術師であるなら後継者でなくとも特に問題なく
　　　教授する事が可能であり、綺礼が時臣を師事しているのはこれが理由になります。
　　　ランサー陣営の一人であるケイネスが魔術講師という立場で不特定多数の魔術師見習いに
　　　講義を行ったり、ケイネスの婚約者でもあるソラウがソフィアリ家の後継者でもないのに魔術
　　　を行使出来る理由もこれです。
　　　しかし凛の場合は遠坂家の後継者という立場にあるため、遠坂の魔術の修得が必要になり
　　　ますが、これを伝授させる事が出来るのは頭主である時臣以外には存在しません。
　　　その為、必然的に凛の魔術修行は時臣が直々に見る事になります。

Ｑ３：凛が修行に使っていた宝石って使い回しが出来るの？
Ａ３：基本的に使い捨てです。
　　　時臣は凛が割った宝石を再構築して馬の彫像を作り出していましたが、割れた宝石を再生さ
　　　せると宝石そのものに時臣の魔力が宿ってしまいます。
　　　凛の行っている修行は魔力の篭っていない宝石に魔力を注ぎ込んで形状を変えることで、魔
　　　力量のコントロールを身に付けさせるのが目的なので、魔力が宿った魔道具として再生された
　　　宝石では基礎修行用の道具としての意味を成さないわけですね。

Ｑ４：凛は魔術師なのに普通に学校に通って大丈夫なの？
Ａ４：そうせざるを得ない事情があるだけです。
　　　魔術師は凛のように普通の生活を送りながら魔術の修行をするタイプと、完全に隠遁生活を
　　　しながら修行するタイプの２種類が存在します。
　　　魔術を秘匿するという前提に立てば後者の方が理に適っているわけですが、代重ねの長い
　　　魔術師の家系は多くが表向きは貴族や有力者という面を持っています。
　　　つまり周囲の目があるために簡単には引き篭もれないわけです。
　　　遠坂家は冬木の土地の大地主であり、魔術の秘匿のみならず世間体という観点からも一般
　　　人を装う必要性があるため、魔術の修行を積みながらも表向きは普通に生活しています。
　　　遠坂家の魔術修行が決して安価ではない宝石を使い捨てに出来る理由も、地主としての土
　　　地代と時臣が申請した魔術特許の特許料という莫大な収入があるからで、聖杯戦争の舞台
　　　を提供出来た理由も冬木の土地が遠坂家の広大な私有地だったからです。

Ｑ５：凛はなんで時臣に連絡しないで一人でコトネを探しに行ったの？
Ａ５：一人で行かざるを得ない事情があるからです。
　　　魔術と聖杯戦争の存在を知っているが故に、凛は冬木市で頻発している児童誘拐事件が聖
　　　杯戦争に関わっている可能性と、コトネがそれに巻き込まれたであろう可能性に気付いてい
　　　ました。
　　　また、余計な心配を与えないために聖杯戦争が終わるまで時臣と連絡を取ってはならない、
　　　と葵から厳命されていた事と、当事者の一人である時臣に頼み込んでも身動きが取れずに
　　　コトネを助けられない可能性がある点を考慮して、凛は敢えて時臣に伝えず単独で捜索に乗
　　　り出したわけです。

Ｑ６：やたらと人が少なかったけど、凛は何時頃に冬木市に戻ったの？
Ａ６：原作によると凛が到着したのは終電まで２時間と少し、という記述がありますので、恐らく
　　　午後１０時前後ということになります。
　　　時期的には凛の誕生日が２月の頭である事、禅譲へ避難する直前に貰った魔力針が少し早
　　　い誕生日プレゼントと表現されていた事、冬木の街に特徴的な飾り付けが無かった事を考慮
　　　すると１月中旬から下旬が有力ですね。
　　　冬木市は聖杯戦争開戦前までは龍之介による連続通り魔事件、開戦以降は龍之介とキャ
　　　スターによる連続児童誘拐事件が発生しているため、夜間外出を禁止する戒厳令が布かれ
　　　ています。
　　　そのため繁華街の近い駅周辺ながら閑散とし、街中をパトカーが巡回していたわけです。

Ｑ７：凛はどうやってコトネを探すつもりだったの？
Ａ７：魔力針の反応を頼りに、新都方面を虱潰しに探すつもりでした。
　　　儀式めいた連続通り魔の被害状況と、聖杯戦争の開戦を境に続発する児童誘拐に魔術が関
　　　与していることに気付いていたからです。
　　　そのため、魔力に反応する魔力針で魔術を使用した際の残留魔力を辿っていけばコトネを見
　　　付け出せる、と考えてのことです。魔力針はより強い魔力に反応するため、反応の強い場所
　　　にコトネが捕まっている、と考えているわけです。
　　　捜索範囲を新都方面に限定した理由については、河を渡って深山町方面に入ると遠坂邸しか
　　　指し示さなくなってしまうので探索が不可能だからです。
　　　何故魔術の関与に気付いたかと問われれば、それは『赤い稲妻』とか『蒼い巨星』とか『白狼』
　　　という単語がガンダムを知らない人には判らないのと同じで、判る人には判る、としか答えよう
　　　がありません。

Ｑ８：龍之介はどうやって子供達を集めていたの？
Ａ８：キャスターから貰った魔道具によって、子供達に暗示をかけて正気を奪っていたからです。
　　　恐らく魔術的な知識を持ち合わせていない龍之介が子供達を集めやすいように、キャスターが
　　　所有していた代物を貸し与えたと推測されます。
　　　魔術師としての修行を積んでいた凛でさえ、危うく暗示に取り込まれかけた点から考慮しても、
　　　魔術に対する知識と抵抗を持ち合わせていない一般人の子供に抗う術などなく、また龍之介
　　　の行動などから恐らく腕輪を身に付けた状態で相手に触れると強力な暗示をかけられる類の
　　　ものであり、凛は腕輪に直接接触した事で取り込まれかけたと考えられます。

Ｑ９：凛はどうやって腕輪を破壊したの？
Ａ９：ゴム風船に必要以上の空気を入れると破裂してしまうように、魔道具に過剰魔力を注ぎこむ
　　　ことで破壊しました。つまり、力技によって強引に壊したわけです。

Ｑ１０：葵はどうやって凛を見付け出したの？
Ａ１０：凛の行動範囲を予測した結果です。
　　　　まだ小学校低学年で手持ちの所持金が少ない状況では使える移動手段は限られますし、
　　　　戒厳令が出ている市内で夜遅くに子供が一人で公共の交通機関を用いればそれだけで
　　　　目立ちますから、他の大人に咎められる可能性を考慮すればバスを使うとは考え難い。
　　　　となれば移動は徒歩に限定されるも、今度は子供の足である以上範囲はかなり限定され
　　　　てしまう。つまり駅を中心とした行動範囲内を捜索すれば良かった訳です。

Ｑ１１：バーサーカーって本当に最強なの？
Ａ１１：雁夜自身が本当にそう思っているのかは疑問ですが、強い事は事実です。
　　　　しかし今回の聖杯戦争で最強のサーヴァントかと問われれば、答えは否ですね。
　　　　確かに『手にしたものを自分の宝具とすることが出来る』というバーサーカーの能力は脅威で
　　　　あり、これはアーチャーにとって天敵ともいえるほど相性の悪い能力ではあります。
　　　　しかし対ランサーという点に置き換えて見ると、この能力をほぼ無効化されてしまいます。
　　　　なによりマスターが未熟過ぎて自滅する可能性もありますので、戦闘能力は高くとも最強とは
　　　　言い難い、といったところでしょうかね。
