Fate/Zero補足情報その１５

色々と謎の多いFateのストーリーや難解な専門用語を、少しでも理解出来るような補足情報です。
今回は第１５話からの補足情報を色々と書いていきます。

Ｑ１：雁夜って時臣を倒せるの？
Ａ１：正面から戦っている限り勝ち目はありません。
　　　そもそも間桐の魔術師としての家系は断絶する寸前の状態(慎二は魔術回路が無い)であり、
　　　雁夜がかつて頭主の地位を引き継ぐ予定だったのは兄である現頭主よりも僅かに魔術回路
　　　を多く保有していたことに起因しています。
　　　従って雁夜は元々魔術師としての条件を備えていても、その素質はかなり低いものでした。
　　　加えて魔術そのものを忌諱し早々と出奔しているため、魔術に関する知識もかなり低く、擬似
　　　魔術回路の役割を果たす刻印虫を体内に植え込む事でようやくマスターの資格を得たわけで
　　　すが、これには「始まりの御三家は優先的に令呪を与えられる」というアドバンテージも働い
　　　たから、と推測されます。
　　　しかもそれは僅か１年程度のものであり、蟲の基礎的な操り方は会得可能でもそれを用いた
　　　魔術の行使は出来ないものと推測されます。
　　　対する時臣は雁夜とは対照的に幼い頃から鍛錬を積んで来ていますし、魔術回路も比較に
　　　ならないほど多く所有しています。
　　　加えて時臣が得意としているのは、蟲使いの魔術師にとって相性が悪い炎の魔術であり、
　　　時臣と雁夜の実力差は文字通り雲泥の差ということになります。
　　　元々相性の悪い魔術の使い手あり、基礎的な実力も上回っている時臣に対して正面から挑
　　　んでいる限り、雁夜に勝ち目などありません。
　　　雁夜にとって時臣を打倒しうる唯一の方法とは、相性の良いバーサーカーでアーチャーを撃
　　　破し、そのままバーサーカーで時臣に止めを刺す方法でしょう。尤も、それは他の邪魔が入
　　　らないことが大前提ではありますが。

Ｑ２：ライダーはなんで一人で戦おうとしたの？
Ａ２：時間稼ぎをするためです。
　　　キャスターが召喚した巨大な海魔はキャスターからの魔力供給を受けて存在を保っています
　　　が、人間を捕食する事で自力で魔力を補えるようになると、キャスターの魔力が尽きても存在
　　　を保ち続けるようになってしまいます。
　　　そうなる前にセイバーたちはキャスターを引きずり出し、ランサーの槍で魔力を遮断したかった
　　　わけですが海魔の再生があまりにも早いため、キャスターを引きずり出すどころか海魔が川岸
　　　に辿り着くのを遅らせるのが精一杯だったわけです。
　　　そこで改めてキャスターを打倒する方策を探るため、策を練るための時間を作り出すために敢
　　　えて固有結界に引き込んでの単独戦闘に出たわけです。
　　　ウェイバーをわざわざ残したのも、結界を解除するタイミングやキャスター打倒の方策を知るた
　　　めでもあります。

Ｑ３：アイリスフィールはいつから携帯電話を持ち歩いていたの？
Ａ３：日本に入る前からずっとです。
　　　そもそも切嗣が打ち出した今回の聖杯戦争に於ける基本的な戦略は、マスターとサーヴァント
　　　の完全な別行動によってセイバーを囮として敵マスターを暗殺していくことです。そのためセイ
　　　バーの制御と、マスターの暗殺を担当する切嗣や舞弥の存在を敵陣営に悟らせないためにす
　　　るのがアイリスフィールの主な役割になります。
　　　キャスターの暴走という想定外のアクシデントに見舞われたため、アインツベルンの城で一時
　　　的に合流を果たしてはいますが、切嗣とアイリスフィールは一度も顔を合わせることなく聖杯
　　　戦争を終わらせるのが本来の戦略だったわけです。
　　　基本的にはセイバーとアイリスフィールに好きに動き回らせ、それに釣られて出てきた他のマ
　　　スターを仕留めていくわけですが、戦況の推移によってはアイリスフィールに具体的な指示を
　　　送る必要性が生じてくる可能性もあります。
　　　その際に直接接触を行う事で切嗣の存在を露見させる危険性が生じるため、予め携帯電話
　　　の使い方を教えて持ち歩かせていたわけです。
　　　ただし原則的には使用しない方針だった事と、キャスターへの対処法を模索中の緊迫した状
　　　況下だったことも相俟って、実際に電話が掛かってきた時は通話方法を失念してしまっていた
　　　ため、ウェイバーが代わりに電話に出たわけです。

Ｑ４：何故セイバーとアイリスフィールはエクスカリバーのことを黙っていたの？
Ａ４：セイバーの騎士としての誇りから、ですね。
　　　セイバーの総魔力量に匹敵する魔力を使うエクスカリバーの使用には両手による全力の振り
　　　抜きが必須になりますが、ランサーとの戦闘で左手に治癒不可能な傷を負った影響で左手の
　　　親指が全く動かず、剣の柄を両手でしっかりと握れない状況にあります。
　　　この傷を治す方法はランサー自身が消滅するか傷を負わせた槍を破壊する以外にないため、
　　　ランサーの立場に立った場合、セイバーの左手を治癒する事は単にアドバンテージを失うのみ
　　　ならず能力ダウンを強いられる結果になるわけです。
　　　つまりランサーが正当な形で得たアドバンテージを失わせる事を良しとしなかったセイバーの
　　　性格が、結果として切り札を伏せる形になっていたわけで、アイリスフィールもセイバーの心中
　　　を慮って意図的言及を避けていただけです。

Ｑ５：バーサーカーは背後を取っていたアーチャーをどうやって撃墜したの？
Ａ５：強化されたフレアディスペンサーで撃墜しました。
　　　フレアディスペンサーは戦闘機の後部に設置されている代物で、熱源を探知して追尾する赤
　　　外線誘導型のミサイルに対する防衛手段です。
　　　戦闘機の排気熱と周波数を強くした熱源を放出する事で、放出された熱源を機体エンジンの
　　　熱源と誤認させる代物であり、物理的な破壊能力を持たない機能ではありますが、バーサー
　　　カーの宝具化能力によって追尾性を持つ焼夷兵器(火災を引き起こす事を目的とした兵器)
　　　になっており、アーチャーは至近距離まで詰め寄った事で回避出来ずに突っ込んで撃墜され
　　　たわけです。
