月!?いえいえ、水星です

冥王星が惑星から降格して久しい太陽系。
その中で、最も太陽に近い水星なんですが……
表面写真がぱっと見、月とそっくりですね
正直、月面写真と見間違いましたよ。
NASAの水星探査機「メッセンジャー」の画像データを解析したもので、
これで水星表面の９５%は探査が終わったらしい。
ただし、３５年かかったけどね……

まあ、その間何もしてなかったわけではないしね。
有人飛行だったり、月面着陸(未だに物議を醸しているが)だったり、火星や土星の探査だったり、
国際宇宙ステーション(ガンダム世代だから「コロニー」の方がしっくりくる)の建設だったり……

宇宙旅行とか、月面居住とか、子供の頃は本当にすぐ未来の出来事と思っていた時期があった。
しかし、現実というのはどこまでも夢物語を否定するものらしく、
足掛りとなる宇宙ステーションすら完成していない訳でして……
２１世紀の頭には、宇宙旅行なんて普通に行われて、コロニーもたくさん建造されて、
ジオンが出てきて、ガンダムが作られて……
そんな事を夢想していた子供時代があったんだが、
どうやらこのペースではジオンの登場はあと１００年経たないと無理らしい。
無論、緑色の肌をした巨人族が宇宙から襲撃してくることもないんだろうね。

Thank you, I’ve recently been looking for info about this subject for ages and yours is the greatest I’ve discovered till now. But, what about the conclusion? Are you sure about the source?
