戦う司書 The Book of Bantorra 第６話

戦う司書の第６話を見ました。
ルイモンの本の追跡調査でトワット鉱山へ向かったノロティだったが……

第６話-雷と怪物と殴る少女-

ヴォルケンがユックユックを持ち去り、
行方をくらませてから数日。
ミレポックがヴォルケンに関する記憶の消去を行い、
ハミュッツが布いた緘口令の効果もあって、
バントーラは元の日常を取り戻していた。

そんなある日バントーラ図書館は黄金の仮面をつけた、
謎の人物の襲撃を受ける。
現場に駆けつけたマット・ミレポック・ミンスは、
仮面の人物の排除に当たるが、
電撃・水・布という複数の魔法を用いる仮面の人物に苦戦を強いられ、
辛うじて撃退には成功するもミンスは重傷を負ってしまう。

トワット鉱山からの移送中に、
ルイモンの本が奪われたことを知ったノロティは、
強奪犯の割り出しと情報収集のためにブジョンの街を訪れていたが、
成り行きからスリの被害に遭った老人を助ける。
武装司書の教官でもあるルイモンの本の行方。
その手掛かりを見つけられないことに落ち込むノロティの前に、
ハミュッツが姿を現すのだが……

新章突入、といった感じの第６話ですが、
謎過ぎる館長代行のハミュッツ。
最初の頃はシロンとなんらかの因果関係があるのかと思いきや、
全く持って関係ないことが徐々にはっきりしてきたものだから、
ハミュッツの謎は深まるばかりですね。

いきなり本拠地襲撃を受けてしまったバントーラですが、
仮面の襲撃者もかなり謎ですね。
マットが唯一対抗できていましたが、どちらかといえば押され気味なうえ、
ミレポックが全く活躍していない有様。
武装司書３人がかりでも勝てない相手とは、まさに化物ですね。
ミンスの話では魔法権利は一人一つということですが、
そこは単に心のほうが持たないという理由があるみたいです。
ということは二つ以上の魔法権利を習得することも可能なようで、
安全のためにそれを行っていないだけのように感じますね。
しかし予知能力の補佐があるとはいえ、
マットの攻撃が普通に通っている事を考えると、
幾つ魔法権利を持っていようとも、
一度に使えるのは一つだけに限られてしまうようですね。
(電撃と水を同時に使うような真似は出来ない、ということ)
ここにこの化物打倒のヒントがあるのかも。

ハミュッツを殺せる最強の化物を作ると豪語するガンバンゼル。
仮面の化物が撤退した先に居たのも彼でしたし、
冒頭の本の記憶も併せて考えると、
仮面の化物の正体はエンリケということなんでしょうか？
しかしどうやらエンリケは既に死んでいる感じではありますが……
そして問題の本の記憶を見たのは、
どうやら街で殴られ屋をやっていたザトウっぽいんですが、
彼とエンリケと仮面の化物に接点はあるんでしょうかね？
この辺りも謎が複雑に絡み合っている感じです。

全てを見透かしているかのような発言の多いハミュッツ。
ノロティの「ザトウの願いを叶えろ」という密命を下しますが、
そこにはどんな意味があるのか？
そして追憶の戦機を持ち歩くカチュアとは何者なのか？
ザトウの願いとは？
そして、それが人を傷つけたりバントーラを害するものだった場合、
ノロティは命令を遵守できるのか？
