赤本の回収を行ったミンス。一方、バントーラ図書館では……

第１７話-帰還と出会いと燃えあがる緑-

モッカニアの叛乱以降、
バントーラの街で裁縫屋として生活していたレナスは、
奇妙な声と共に本来の人格の記憶が戻る事に怯えていたが、
店を訪れたエンリケからそれが、
アーガックスによって失われた記憶を甦らせるための、
魔術審議の文言であることを伝えられると同時に、
自分はレナス＝フルールなのだと強く意識付けされる。

その頃バントーラ図書館には竜骸咳の事件以降、
ユックユックを持って逃亡していたヴォルケンが戻ってきていた。
教団と通じた裏切り者としての視線に晒される中、
ヴォルケンは罪を償うためではなく武装司書の正義を守るために、
正義を奪う現・館長代行のハミュッツを放逐すると豪語するが、
同時に再会したミレポックが、
アーガックスによって自分に関する記憶を抹消したことを知るのだった。

ヴォルケンの演説後、ノロティとティータイムを楽しんでいたキャサリロは、
エンリケとレナスの関係について注意を促し、
ものの弾みでヴォルケンとミレポックの一件を例に出したところを、
当事者の一人であるミレポックに聞かれてしまい、
彼女がヴォルケンに関する記憶をアーガックスで抹消した事実を知られてしまう。

一方再びレナスの元を訪れていたエンリケは、
レナス本来の人格が既に表に出てきていることを知る。
本来の人格が出てきたのは、
エンリケがそれに気付いたからだと告げるレナスは、
自分を助けるように懇願するのだが、
鉛色のベンド＝ルガーという言葉を口にしようとした瞬間、
エンリケによってレナスの人格が呼び戻されてしまう。

１７話目にしてようやく新OP&EDがお披露目となった戦う司書。

正義感が強すぎるが故にハミュッツの行為が許せず、
追憶の戦機の一つ、ユックユックを無断で持ち出し逃亡していた、
場の空気を読まないヴォルケンが再登場したわけですが、
どうにも激しく死亡フラグが立ち始めている気がするのは私だけですか？

白煙号でヴォルケンが見つけた謎のメッセージ、
そしてラスコールから託された一冊の本から、
オリビア＝リットレットという女性を殺すためだけに、
他の奴隷が巻き添えになるのを承知で、
ハミュッツが白煙号を破壊したことを知ったヴォルケンはハミュッツを放逐し、
自分が信奉するバントーラと武装司書の在り方を取り戻すため、
ハミュッツの不正の証拠となるオリビアを探して、
バントーラを離れていたんでしょう。
まあ、彼がバントーラに戻ってきた理由は、
どこかでオリビアらしき人物がバントーラに居ることを知ったから、
ってところでしょうね。

そして今回の重要人物でもあるレナス。
エンリケとの接触で記憶と人格を取り戻し、
彼女がヴォルケンの捜し求めるオリビア本人であることが判明しました。
ヴォルケンは彼女にハミュッツの不正の証人になってほしいようですが、
具体的にオリビアに何を望んでいるんでしょうね？
そして彼女と関わりがあり、
あのハミュッツが恐れている節があるベンド＝ルガー。
エンリケの反応から彼もベンド＝ルガーのことを知っているようですが、
果たして何なんでしょうね？

オリビアを連れて再び姿を消したヴォルケン。
そしてヴォルケンの抹殺命令を下すハミュッツの真意は？
