ダンス イン ザ ヴァンパイア バンド 第９話

ヴァンパイアバンドの第９話を見ました。ヴァンパイアとなった、
学園の元・生徒を操るヒステリカの目的とは？

第９話-ロスト ボーイ-

バンドから抜け出して人を襲うヴァンパイアが居る、
という噂の真相を調査していたヴェラは、
倉庫街で偶然助けたユヅルという少年が東雲ななみを探していることから、
ななみを始めとするバンドに収容していた学園の元・生徒や、
ウィルスの効果が及ばずヴァンパイア化した者たち全員が、
バンド内から姿を消していることに気付く。

ユヅルの身柄を保護したミナたちは、ななみを連れ戻すために動き始めるが、
主を失ったはずのななみたちは、ヒステリカと名乗るヴァンパイアによって、
既に新たなる下僕として操られており、
ななみを連れ戻す事に失敗したのみならず、
首謀者であるヒステリカにも逃げられてしまい、
事態解決のために時間と場所を指定して挑戦状を叩きつける。

その一方で、ヒステリカの狙いがヴァンパイアの血と混じることで、
化学反応を引き起こして爆破作用を生み出すアグニの血を用いた、
地下鉄での自爆テロにあることを見抜いたミナは、
爆破指令を発する携帯を無効化させる作戦を立案し、
ベイオウルブズを召集して地下鉄沿線に潜伏している、
ヴァンパイアたちをマークさせていた。

ヒステリカを討ち、ななみを助け出すための作戦を進めていくミナたち。
そんな中、傷の手当てを受けていたユヅルは、
ヴェラが元々人間でありながらヴァンパイアになった理由を尋ねるのだが……

流行り病で死に掛けていたヒステリカを、
ヴェラがヴァンパイアにして救ったという因縁が判明した今回のお話。
つまりヒステリカとヴェラは友人関係だったらしい、
ということが判りましたが、ヴェラがヴァンパイアになった経緯から、
同時にその頃には既に公主家に従っていたことも判ってきました。

ミナの母親であり先代公主であるルクレツィアに従い、
進んで自らの血を差し出すことでヴァンパイアとなったヴェラ。
ヒステリカを救うために彼女をヴァンパイアにしたものの、
何故二人は袂を別つ事となったのか。
その描写が無かったことから、
どうやらルクレツィアの死が関係してきそうな感じではありますが、
ヴァンパイアの、それも公主が何故死んだのかも謎ですね。
この辺りはヒステリカの言っていた三氏族が関ってくるのか、
それともテロメアの方が関与しているのか……

ヒステリカ自身がヴァンパイアになることを望んだかどうかは判りませんが、
事情が判明してくると彼女自身も被害者だったのかな？と。
自分の命を救うためにヴァンパイアにしたヴェラは、
何らかの理由によってヒステリカと共に行くことを拒んだ。
その理由が何なのかははっきりとしていませんが、
ヒステリカにとってヴェラの行為は裏切りでしかなかったし、
ヴェラが自分を見捨てたと感じる要素は十二分にあった気がしますね。

さて、今回ヒステリカの前でミナが顕身したことで、
色々とミナに課せられた制約もまた見えてきました。
学園での一件でジャン・マレイの発言から、
ミナは公主としての権限にかなり制約を課されていることが判っていましたが、
どうやらそのうちの一つが顕身しないことにあるようですね。
しかもヒステリカの話では顕身することが問題なのではなく、
顕身した姿そのものに問題があるようですね。
ミナ自身もそれを秘匿している節があるため、
あの姿そのものに意味があることは推測出来ますが……

そして相変わらず謎が多い美刃。
彼女が敵なのか味方なのか、その辺りもやはり判然としませんが、
どうやらヒステリカも彼女のことを知っていた様子。
アキラを助けたかと思えば、アキラを惑わすようなことを言ったり、
ミナの側近でもあるアルフォンソの命令で動いている節もなければ、
ベイオウルブズという印象でもないようで……
彼女は本当に何者なんでしょうね？

支配権の上書きによってななみを取り戻し、ヒステリカを討ったミナ。
バンドへ戻るななみと離れたくないユヅルは、
自ら血を奉げてヴァンパイアとなることで、ななみと共に生きる道を選ぶ。
そして、今回の騒動を嗅ぎつけた三氏族が動き始めるのだが……

前の「化物語」は「懺・さよなら絶望先生」と並行でやっていた時よく化物語のほうで静画が続いたことがありましたからね…
