いよいよ本番を迎えるわけだが

もうすぐ開幕戦が開始されようとしているW杯南アフリカ大会。
ただ、有力出場国を取材しているメディアは強盗に襲われているようで、
以前から指摘されてきた南アフリカの治安の悪さが露呈し、
今回のW杯は大きな事件無く無事に終わるのか心配になりますね。
尤も、こういうニュースを見ると、
まだまだ日本の治安は世界でも優良な部類なんだと実感させられますね。

ともかく現地へ行かれる日本サポーターの皆さんが、
無事に帰ってきてくれるようお祈りしておきましょうかね。
特に女性サポーターは現地で種付けされたりしないように気をつけてくださいね。
(下卑た話ですが、冗談ではなくマジな話なので……)

さて近年弱体化が著しく、
本番が近付くにつれて国民の失望を高めている(一応)日本代表ですが、
多分皆さんの予想通り３戦全敗してくることでしょう。
正直個人的にはホームというアドバンテージがあるとはいえ、
予選リーグを突破した２００２年の代表チームが一番強かったように思えます。
２００６年大会は予選リーグで惨敗したとはいえど、
まだトルシエ元監督の遺産である主力選手が残っていたのが救いでしたが、
今の日本代表には期待が持てません。
期待出来そうなのは内田・森本とおまけで川島位でしょうかね。
既にピークを過ぎた中村俊・遠藤・楢崎・中澤に、どんぐりの背比べな玉田・岡崎・矢野。
大久保・松井・中村憲は監督の起用に問題があるのか、なかなか才能を昇華できず、
長谷部と阿部はポジション的に孤立気味。
本田は本田で今の面子を見ると機能する場所が無いように思えます。

おまけに監督は本番４日前だというのに未だに戦術が定まっていないのがみえみえで、
本来ならコンディションの最終調整段階にも拘らず本田の１トップ布陣をテストしたりと迷走中。
圧倒的格下のジンバブエ相手にスコアレスドローを演じるなど、
ざっと見渡したところでも、格上のカメルーン・オランダ・デンマークに、
勝てる要素が一つも見出せないのがあまりにも辛いところ。
各ポジションが同じタイプの選手ばかり集まっているから、
状況を打開できる選手が不在なのも大きいですね。
CBに宮本のようなディフェンスラインを統率出来る選手が居れば、
守備面は良くなるんですけどね。
今のCBは攻撃参加したがるプレイヤーで固められてますから困る。
２００２年の時は宮本がしっかり統率していたので、中澤の行動も許容できるものでしたが……

そんな日本代表DF陣の中で世界から注目を浴びているのが、破壊神・田中さん。
ドログバの右腕を破壊したことで一躍世界に名を馳せた田中さんですが、
この度FIFAのBL入りが決まったようですね。
闘志剥き出しで勝利を貪欲に目指す田中さんですが、
その一方で相手のラフプレイに対し、すぐ報復行動に出るほどキレやすいことでも有名。
その田中さんはBL入りで、ファウルを犯した場合通常なら黄色で済むところが、
赤を出される可能性が高まりました。
報復行動しようものなら一発レッドとなってしまうわけですが……果たしてどうなるのか？
