狼と香辛料Ⅱ 第２話

狼と香辛料Ⅱの２話目を見ました。
というわけで、その感想を……

第２幕-狼と嵐の前の静寂-

祭の初日、
ロレンスはマルクの伝手で仲介人でもあるギ・バドスと知り合い、
彼の馴染みの客でもある、
年代記作家のディアナ・ルーベンスを紹介される。
ヨイツの場所の手掛かりと、
北の地でのホロの伝承を聞かされたロレンスは、
その代価として南の地でのホロの伝承を語り聞かせることに。
一方、ホロは案内役を買って出たアマーティと共に、
祭見物へと出掛けることになるのだが……

ロレンス宛の手紙の内容が気になるホロだったが、
実は字を読めないことが判明。
ってことは、当然書けないんでしょうね。

まるで全てを見通しているかのような言葉を発する、新キャラのディアナ。
彼女の家の前、そして彼女の部屋に散乱している白い羽の意味とは？
すっごく意味深なんですが、次回以降に期待しましょう。

恐らくこの作品全体のキーパーソンの一つとなるであろう月を狩る熊……
記憶が定かではないものの、
ロレンスはヨイツが滅ぼされたことを知っている節があり、
ディアナのお話はその再確認といったところでしょうかね。

アマーティがホロをデートに連れ出したことと、
それを知って僅かに動揺するロレンス。
少しはホロのことを女性として意識しているんでしょうね。
まあ、それをロレンス自身は否定すると思いますが……
ただ、正面から問いただすことが出来ず、
遠まわしにホロに尋ねるあたりがロレンスらしい反応と言えますね。

使いとして宿を訪れたラントから、マルクからの言伝を受け取ったロレンスは、
大慌てで宿を飛び出していったのですが……
風雲急を告げる展開ですね。
一体何を聞いたのか……
祭でホロが見たという占い師、
そしてバトスとディアナが鍵を握っているのかな？

今後の展開から。目が離せませんね。
