巨人の望みを打ち砕く

パ・リーグは本日のデーゲームで埼玉西武が破れたため、
ナイトゲームの結果を待たずに福岡ソフトバンクホークスの優勝が決定いたしました。
ホークスの優勝って８年ぶりくらいでしたっけ？
とりあえず、もう長いこと優勝していなかったのは事実ですが、
ホークスファンの皆さんおめでとうございます。
そして埼玉西武さんは中日と日本シリーズやったら収入落ち込むから厭だ、
という不安を抱いていたようですがひょっとしたら杞憂に終わってしまうかもしれませんね。

一方セ・リーグは阪神の試合はお休み。
巨人が横浜に敗れると阪神に優勝マジックが点灯し、
更に中日が東京ヤクルトに勝利を納めれば巨人の４連覇は完全に消滅する、
という上位３球団の熾烈な優勝争い。
まあ実質的には中日と阪神の一騎打ちで、巨人は漁夫の利を掠めるしかないわけですが、
本日の横浜対読売第２２回戦は
読売　２－３　横浜　で、ベイスターズの勝利です


本日の先発は横浜は高卒ルーキーの左腕・眞下(まっか)、
対する巨人は今シーズン仕事が出来ていない昨年の勝ち頭であるグライシンガー。
３年連続９０敗というプロ野球ワースト記録に王手が掛った横浜と、
足半分の差で優勝争いに踏み止まっている巨人。
互いにこれ以上は負けられない試合は２回裏、
先頭の５番ハーパーがグライシンガーからライトスタンドへソロホームランを放って先制すると、
３回裏には１番石川がヒットと盗塁で２塁へと進み、
２死フルカウントから３番内川が右中間を破るタイムリーツーベースで追加点。
序盤でグライシンガーから２点を奪って早々と降板させる。

１軍初登板初先発のルーキー眞下は、
１４０キロ前後のストレートと縦に大きく落ちるカーブで緩急をつけ、
強力な巨人打線を翻弄して序盤を無失点に抑えこんで来ていたのだが、
４回表に先頭の４番ラミレスにレフトスタンドへと運ばれると、
６回表にもラミレスにソロホームランを許して試合を振り出しへと戻されてしまう。

７回表、ここまでラミレスのソロホームラン以外はランナーを出しながらも、
要所をしっかりと抑えて凌いできた眞下だったが、
７番古城に四球・８番脇谷にヒットを許し、代打松本にまで四球を与えて、
無死満塁のピンチを招いたところで２番手の牛田に後を託すのだが、
牛田は１番坂本をファーストフライ、代打高橋由を浅いセンターフライに打ち取ると、
３番小笠原を三振に仕留めて巨人に傾きかけた流れを止める。
そしてこの窮地を凌いだことが、横浜に対して徐々に再び流れを引き寄せる結果となる。

８回表、３番手の寺原が１死から５番阿部に四球・６番谷にヒットを許すも、
古城の三振ゲッツーでピンチの芽を摘むと、直後の８回裏にチャンスを迎える。
先頭の２番松本が今日初めてのヒットで出塁すると、
３番内川のファーストゴロを小笠原が１塁ベースを踏んでから送球したことで１死２塁。
更に越智のワイルドピッチを阿部が見失ったことで松本が３塁まで到達すると、
２死からハーパーは敬遠されるも６番カスティーヨがセンター前へ勝ち越しのタイムリー。
最後は山口が三者凡退に仕留めてこの１点を守りきり、
横浜はこの試合での９０敗到達を阻止。
相手の判断ミスによって得たチャンスを点に繋げて逃げ切った。


これを書いている現在中日は１点差で負けていますが、
２回裏終了時点で神宮は雨のため試合中断中。
阪神は巨人が敗れたためマジック９が点灯しましたが、中日の結果次第では安心出来ない。
一方で中日の結果次第とはいえ巨人の優勝は９９％消滅しましたね。


今日投げた眞下といい、田中といい……期待の若手が次々に出て来ているのは嬉しいです。
眞下のカーブの落差が物凄いので、あれは初見だと簡単には打てないでしょうね。
あとはスライダーかカットか、横の変化球があればもっと良くなりそう。
これからが楽しみな投手でしたね。

野手としては北を代打の１打席だけというのが些か勿体無い気もしますね。
まあ松本はフルで出しているので、下園と競わせる気満々なのは判りますが。


試合再開してる……中日が１点差で負けてる状況は変わらないけど。
