プロ野球ワースト記録樹立

つい１週間前までは「本当に９月か！？」と疑いたくなるほど、
暑い日々が続いていたわけですが、
関東は雨もあって先週末辺りから急激に冷え込んできて、今では長袖が手放せない状態。
まあ、私自身はその影響で軽い風邪を引いて頭痛に悩まされましたが……

先日パ・リーグは福岡ソフトバンクホークスが優勝を決めたわけですが、
セ・リーグは未だに上位３球団が三つ巴の争い。
とはいえ中日の残り試合は１０月２日の東京ヤクルト戦で、
それまでは他の２球団の結果待ちという状況。
そして優勝マジックが点灯している阪神は本日から甲子園で巨人と２連戦。
阪神が勝てば巨人の優勝は完全に消滅するため、巨人としては絶対に落とせない２戦。
そんな熾烈な上位争いとは真逆の意味で崖っぷちに立つ横浜は、
ハマスタで逆転のＣＳ出場を狙う４位東京ヤクルトとの試合。
本日の横浜対東京ヤクルト第２３回戦は
東京ヤクルト　４－０　横浜　で、スワローズの勝利です……


本日の先発は横浜が本日４試合目、先発としては３試合目の登板となる田中、
対する東京ヤクルトは開幕６連敗が嘘のように勝利を積み上げ、
現在最多勝の１４勝にも届きそうな小さな大エース石川。
阪神・巨人というセ・リーグ１・２を争う強力打線に対し、
いずれも６回２失点という好投を見せて先発の役割を果たしてきた田中と、
東京ヤクルトのエース石川との投げあいは予想通りの投手戦。
打線の方は２回に３番ハーパーがヒットで出塁、
３回に１番石川が２死からヒットと盗塁で２塁まで進むも石川の前に得点出来ず。
田中は３回表に７番宮本に対して四球を与えるも、４回までヒットを許さない投球。

そんな緊迫した投手戦で試合が進んだ６回表、
田中は２死から１番青木にソロホームランで先制点を与えると、
７回表には３番畠山・４番デントナの長短打で無死２・３塁のピンチを背負い、
５番相川にライトへの犠牲フライを許して２点目を失ってしまうのだが、
宮本のヒットと８番田中浩康への四球で２死満塁とするも石川をしっかり打ち取り、
７回２失点と先発の役割をしっかりと果たしてマウンドを降りる事になる。

ところが８回表、緊迫していた投手戦に２番手の高宮が水を注してしまう。
青木にヒットを許すと２番森岡に送りバントを決められ、
７回に代走で途中出場した福地に死球を与えて１死１・２塁。
同じく代走で途中出場の武内をファーストゴロに打ち取ったと思われたのだが、
ハーパーのミスで内野安打を許して１死満塁。
これ以上点を与えるわけには行かない横浜は３番手として寺原を登板させるが、
寺原は相川に対して痛恨の押し出し四球を与えると、
６番飯原にはセカンドゴロの併殺崩れによる失点を許して勝負あり。
４点という十分すぎる援護点を貰った石川に完封で１３勝目を与えると同時に、
横浜は３年連続９０敗到達というプロ野球ワースト記録を樹立することになった。


来月２日まで試合の無い中日ですが、本日の試合で阪神が破れたため一安心。
阪神に勝利したことで崖っぷちにしがみ付いていた巨人は辛うじて望みを繋ぎとめ、
対する阪神は巨人との直接対決に破れたため一歩後退。
明日の試合で巨人が勝利を納めた場合、阪神の優勝マジックは消滅します。

田中に関しては今シーズン最長となる７イニングを投げきったわけですが、
失点は青木のソロと球が浮き始めた７回の集中打で招いたピンチでの犠牲フライ。
ただし、その後をキッチリと抑えて最小失点で切り抜けたことは評価できます。
田中は来年のローテにまた一歩前進した感じですね。
７回２失点 被安打６ 与四死球２
まだ先発３戦目ですが、非常に安定しています。
あとはスタミナかな……

さて、明日は甲子園で阪神巨人の試合ですが、横浜は広島との試合が控えています。
優勝争いの行方は？そして横浜の最終敗戦数は？
