連敗はまだまだ続く

「俺の妹がこんなに可愛いわけがない」の最終話を見たわけですが、
結局最後は桐乃が美味しいところを持っていくのか、と……
まったく、終盤は舞台の都合上とはいえ出番が無かったくせに、
例えるなら３点ビハインドながらも９回裏２死満塁の場面、
代打で登場して逆転サヨナラ満塁ホームランを放った、ってところでしょうかね。
まあ、第２期の可能性が無きにしも非ず、といった幕引きではありましたけどね。
それでも２期の可能性を残したという意味では、上手く纏めた部類だったかな？と。


さて、俺妹の方は一応の完結を見て一段落しているわけではありますが、
プロ野球の方も本日の試合で交流戦の前半戦が消化されて一段落になります。
調子を落としていた燕の復調とか、虎の浮沈とか、
鷹という名の白犬の無双が何処まで続くのか、色々と気になる事は多いわけですが、
私が気になっているのはやはり、横浜の連敗がいつ止まるのか？ということですね。
現在は交流戦３連敗中、対オリックス戦に限定したところで１１連敗中でして、
交流戦の連敗に歯止めが掛けられず、気が付けば交流戦もペナントもダントツ最下位、
というのがここ３年間の横浜ベイスターズの戦績。
それを脱却するためにも、１試合でも早い連敗ストップと１試合でも多い連勝が欲しい。
そんな交流戦の前半最後となるオリックス対横浜の交流戦第２回戦は
横浜　２－５　オリックス　で、バファローズの勝利です……


本日の先発は横浜が昨年までオリックスに在籍していた山本省吾、
対するオリックスの先発は新外国人のフィガロです。
予想通りの顔合わせとなったわけですが、
可能であればそろそろオリックス戦の連敗を止めたいところ。
交流戦に入って２得点以下が続き、好投手を相手に得点力が低下していた横浜は、
渡辺直人を１番、石川を２番に入れる新オーダーで連敗阻止を図る。
これが功を奏したのか１回表、１番渡辺が内野安打で出塁を果たすと、
２番石川の送りバントと３番金城の四球で１死１・２塁と先制のチャンスを掴むが、
４番村田がサードへの併殺打に倒れて無得点に終わる。
その一方で先発の山本省吾は１番坂口に内野安打で出塁されると、
２死から４番Ｔ－岡田に四球を与えてこちらも窮地を招くが、
５番北川を三振に仕留めて無失点で切り抜ける。

互いに窮地を招きながらも、互いに失点することなく切り抜けた両先発投手だったが、
先に綻びを見せたのは山本省吾の方だった。
３回裏、山本は９番大引をショートゴロに打ち取るも１番坂口に四球を与えると、
２番田口に対してはボークと四球を与えて自らのミスで１死１・２塁と窮地を招くと、
３番後藤にはセンター前へのタイムリーを許して失点。
更にＴ－岡田をファーストゴロに仕留めるもその間に田口の生還を許し、
リードを２点に広げられてしまう。

２点を追いかける横浜は５回表、１死から６番ハーパーが四球を選んで出塁すると、
７番内藤のツーベースで１死２・３塁。
８番代打・藤田のタイムリーで１点を返すと、
２死１・３塁から渡辺がピッチャー強襲のタイムリー内野安打で同点に追いつく。
ところが先発の山本省吾が踏ん張りきれない。
同点に追いついた直後の５回裏、１死から田口にツーベースでの出塁を許すと、
２死からＴ－岡田にレフト前へ運ばれるタイムリーで勝ち越しを許し、北川にも繋がれて降板。
２番手の真田は６番ヘスマンに四球を与えて満塁のピンチを招くと、
７番バルディリスに痛恨の押し出し死球を与えて再び２点差に。
６回裏には坂口にソロホームランを打たれて３点差に広げられて勝負あり。
横浜はオリックス投手陣を打ち崩すどころか、好機すら作り出せずに敗戦を喫し、
これでオリックス戦の連敗を１２に更新した。


案の定というべきか、予想通りにオリックス戦に連敗を喫したことで４連敗。
嫌な形で交流戦を折り返す事になりました。
まあケチの付き始めは間違いなくソフトバンクとの第１回戦で逆転負けを喫したことでしょう。
あれがなければ、ひょっとしたらオリックス戦の連敗を止められたかもしれない。
勿論そんなこと関係無しに止められなかったかもしれない。
ただ確実に云えることは、アレさえなければ今頃は阪神が最下位だ、ってことかな。
結果が最重要視される世界で、たらればの話をするのも無粋ではありますけどね。

昨日の試合はともかく、
ソフバンに逆転負け喰らってから中継ぎ陣の緊張の糸が切れたというか、
あれがきっかけになって疲労が噴出して安定感を失いつつある気がします。


さて、明日は予備日で試合がありませんが、明後日からは交流戦も後半戦が開始。
横浜の後半戦最初の相手は千葉ロッテマリーンズなわけですが……
あれ？ローテーション的にまた成瀬と唐川が相手なのでは？
横浜は明後日が加賀、その次は高崎が投げる事になるでしょう。

Yep. If you upzone without rail, people will complain and demand more parking. There’s lots of historic examples of this.
