天敵撃破で連敗ストップ

交流戦が終了し、通常のペナントレースが再開したものの、
苦手とするビジターゲームということもあってか３連敗を喫している横浜ベイスターズ。
例年通り最下位に沈んではいるものの、昨年よりも得点力が向上したことが要因なのか、
一昨日の試合で山口が逆転を許しはしたものの、
交流戦を終えても中継ぎ投手陣は全体的に安定感を保っているため、
優勝を狙うのはかなり厳しいものの逆転Ａクラス入りは十分に可能性が残っている。
しかし、最大のネックである先発投手陣は、
開幕から中継ぎ・先発とフル回転してきた加賀が先日肩の張りを訴えて緊急抹消。
三浦・清水・大家のベテラントリオは開幕からの故障や不調から未だに調子が上がらず不在。
補強した新戦力も外国人組は未だに昇格の目処は立たず、
寺原を放出してまで獲得した山本省吾は５回持たない不甲斐無い投球内容が続く日々。
現状では高崎とルーキーの須田以外、計算出来る先発が皆無という投手事情。
あまりにも連敗が嵩むようならば、オールスターを待たずにシーズンが終わるという事も……

さて、交流戦から３連敗を喫し、先発投手層の薄さを考慮するならば、
これ以上の連敗を喫するのは絶対に許されない状況で迎えた本日の試合。
東京ヤクルト対横浜の第９回戦は
横浜　４－１　東京ヤクルト　で、ベイスターズの勝利です


本日の先発は横浜が現状では最後の砦とも云うべきルーキーの須田、
対する東京ヤクルトの先発は横浜の天敵とも云うべき増渕。
後が無い状況で苦手のビジター・分の悪い東京ヤクルト・天敵の増渕という三重苦の１戦は、
立ち上がりに不安定さがある須田が案の定というべきなのか、１番青木と４番畠山を打ち取るも、
２番田中浩康・３番ユウイチ・５番バレンティンに四球を与えていつものように満塁のピンチ。
此処で失点を喫すればいつも通り、須田の負けパターン突入となるのだが、
６番宮本をショートフライに仕留めて無失点で切り抜けると、
２回裏には８番相川にツーベースを打たれていつも通りに得点圏に走者を背負うが、
ここも無失点に切り抜けて課題の立ち上がりを辛うじて０で凌いでみせる。

鬼門の立ち上がりを無失点で切り抜けた須田を援護したい横浜打線だが、
相手は前回対戦で３年ぶりに得点を奪ったほどに苦戦してきた増渕。
だが、天敵攻略の糸口を作り出したのは以外にも投手の須田だった。
自ら招いた窮地を無失点で切り抜けたことで気持ちに余裕が出来たのか、
須田がヒットで出塁すると、続く１番石川のツーベースで１死２・３塁。
絶好の先制機を迎えるが打席には今シーズン打撃不振で１割台半ばの森本。
ここまで目に見える形での結果というものをなかなか残せていなかった森本が、
タイムリーツーベースを放って先制点を奪い、須田を援護すれば、
６回には３番金城がヒットで出塁した後、
ここ数試合はチャンスで凡退していた４番村田が、タイムリーツーベースを放って３点目。
更に５番ハーパーの進塁打で３塁に進むと増渕の暴投の間に生還して４点目。
連敗ストップに向けて横浜が東京ヤクルトを突き放す事に成功する。

３回以降はこれまたいつも通りに相手打線を抑え込んで行く須田は、
二つ目の鬼門となる６回に畠山にヒットを許して走者を背負うも味方の守備にも助けられ、
結局６回を無失点で投げ切って降板。
８回裏に３番手の牛田が青木のスリーベースと田中浩康の犠牲フライで１点を失いはしたが、
一昨日逆転負けを喫した山口が９回を三者凡退に仕留めて試合終了。
久しぶりに投打がガッチリと噛み合い、天敵の増渕を打ち砕いて横浜が快勝。
連敗を３で止めてＡクラス争いに踏み止まった。


ルーキーに連敗ストップを託さなければならないほどに不甲斐無い横浜先発投手陣。
でもまあ、勝ててよかったですね。
立ち上がりに四球でピンチを招く、３回からは別人のように立ち直って相手打線を抑える、
今日の須田はいつも通りの須田でした。
違いがあったとすれば、失点しなかったことでしょうね。
須田が負けるときというのは初回で２失点位喫して、６回に追加点を奪われるパターンですから。
立ち上がりの不安定さが難点ではありますが、そこの修正に気を取られるあまり、
投球リズムを崩すような事になっては元も子もないので悩ましいところですね。

いずれにせよ連敗は止まったものの先発不足が改善したわけではないので、
あくまでも先延ばしになっただけの話。
果たしてどうなることやら


明後日からはハマスタで中日との３連戦。一応ハマスタでの戦績は悪いものではないので、
勝ってくれれば良いんですけどねえ。
