今日は完封負け

夏の地方大会も大詰めとなり、続々と代表校が決まってきていますね。
で、その地方大会で意外と出てくるのが珍記録。
まあ、横浜対東海大相模の「振り逃げスリーラン」みたいな、
強豪校同士での珍記録は非常に珍しいわけですが……やはり今年もありました。

７月２６日に行われた広島大会準決勝第２試合、新庄-崇徳戦。
４－４の同点で迎えた延長１０回、崇徳は２番手投手を登板させて先発投手を左翼守備へ。
この段階で崇徳はベンチ入りメンバーすべてを使い切っていたが、１死後先発投手が再登板。
２番手投手が左翼に入っていたが、２死後に２番手投手を再登板、
先発投手を左翼へ戻そうとしたところで攻撃中の新庄監督がルール違反を指摘した。
実は「同一イニング内で投手が野手のポジションに移動した後再度登板した場合、
再度野手のポジションに就くことは出来ない」という規則があります。
崇徳の先発は１０回に「投手→左翼→投手」とポジションを変えているため、
もう一度２番手投手に代えるためには先発投手が退き、控え選手が守備に就く必要があります。
対戦相手である新庄の監督が指摘したのは、
２番手投手の再登板の際に先発投手が退かず残っていたことがルールに抵触する点です。

ところがここでもう一つの大きな問題が発生します。
それは「何らかの理由により、フィールドプレイヤーが９人に満たなくなった場合、
没収試合として人数の足りなくなったチームが負けとなる」というもう一つのルールにまで、
控えを使い切っていた崇徳が抵触してしまうということです。
つまり交代を認めるならば崇徳の先発投手はベンチへ退かねばならず、
代わりの選手もいないため没収試合として成立してしまいます。
規則に対して厳正に則って没収試合とするか、それとも救済措置をとるべきか……
１時間以上に渡る中断の末に出された結論は、「投手交代を認めず試合を続行する」でした。
高校野球の場合「投手→野手→野手」のポジションチェンジは認められています(本来はＮＧ)が、
投手のワンポイント起用という戦術は滅多に使われないので失念されていたんでしょうね。


さて、プロ野球のほうはといえば、横浜ベイスターズは徐々に最下位独走態勢。
スポーツニュースを見ても、２位以下をクローズアップされても蚊帳の外状態という悲惨さ。
そんな横浜は本日も読売ジャイアンツとの試合。
少しでも意地を見せてほしいところだが、本日の読売対横浜第８回戦は
横浜　０－２　読売　で、ジャイアンツの勝利です……


本日の先発は横浜が隠れ巨人キラーとも云える大家、
対する読売の先発は一部でアニオタとして有名な西村。
昨日は打線が振るわなかったものの投手陣の頑張りで完封しただけに、
今日も期待したいところだったが２回裏、大家は５番阿部にソロホームランを被弾して先制されると、
５回裏には阿部のツーベースと７番小笠原のタイムリーで２点差に広げられる。

それでも大家はそれ以外をほぼ完璧な形で抑え込み、
横浜投手陣は昨日の試合同様に巨人打線を沈黙させてきたが、
野手陣は昨日同様に初回のチャンスを逃すと拙攻に次ぐ拙攻。
８回表に２死満塁とチャンスを作り出すも３番金城が凡退して最大の得点機を逸し万事休す。
投手陣に光明は射したものの、２試合連続で打線が機能せず今日は完封負けを喫した。


連勝していれば、ってところなんだけど、まあ今のところ特にないよね。
借金が２桁ある時点で話にならないのは判りきっている事なので、どうにもならんよな、と。
とりあえず、ビジター２勝１敗、ホーム３連勝で進められれば望みはあるけど、ハードル高いな。
