ブランドン好投も終盤に追いつかれ引き分け

互いに先発が炎上してシーソーゲームとなった昨日の試合は、結局リードを守りきって連勝した
横浜DeNAベイスターズは、今日は福岡に移動して北九州決戦２試合目。
さて本日の横浜DeNA先発はブランドン、対するソフトバンクの先発は大隣。
その結果は……

ソフトバンク 2-2 DeNA　で、規定により９回引き分けです……

交流戦で初の２連勝を飾った昨日の試合に続いて、北九州でのホークス２戦目。
５月最後の試合を勝利で飾り３連勝で６月に入りたいところだったが、試合は思わぬ展開となっ
てしまった。

試合内容は初回、横浜DeNA先発のブランドンが先頭の明石にヒットで出塁を許すも、本多をバ
ント失敗、内川をセカンド併殺に打ち取って無失点。直後の１回裏には荒波が初球をレフト前に、
森本がセーフティバントで無死１・２塁のチャンスを作るも、筒香はショートゴロ併殺に倒れてあっ
というまに２死３塁。中村紀は敬遠気味に歩かされると、吉村が三振に倒れてこちらも無得点。

試合が動いたのは２回。２死からブランドンが江川の折れたバットを左足に受けるアクシデントに
見舞われながら、続く福田のセーフティバントを阻止した直後の攻撃。
先頭の石川が四球で出塁すると藤田のエンドランで無死１・３塁とチャンスを作り、黒羽根のサー
ドボテボテのタイムリー内野安打で１点を加えると１塁走者の藤田の好走塁で１・３塁。
ブランドンは送りバントに失敗するも、荒波のレフト前タイムリーで機動力を駆使して今日も横浜が
２点のリードを奪う。

４回・５回と得点圏に走者を背負いながら無失点で切り抜けたブランドンは６回表、２死から松田
に右中間への大飛球を打たれ、荒波のダイビングも僅かに届かずあわやランニングホームランと
なりかけたが、吉村・石川の中継プレイで得点を阻む。

ところが終盤の８回、ブランドンに替わって登板した２番手の加賀がピリッとしない。
８番代打長谷川に内野安打で出塁を許すと、９番代打松中にフルカウントから四球を与えて無死
１・２塁として降板。
３番手の篠原は明石に送りバントを決められ１死２・３塁と一打同点のピンチを招いてしまうと、本
多にレフト前タイムリーを打たれて１点を返され、４番手の藤江もレフト前タイムリーを打たれて同
点に追いつかれてしまう。
それでも諦めない横浜DeNAはホークス２番手の金から中村紀が四球で出塁すると、細川の後
逸と代打小池の四球で無死１・２塁と勝ち越しのチャンスを作り出すが、３番手岡島の前に石川は
痛恨の送りバント失敗。代打鶴岡もショートゴロに倒れて２死１・３塁となると、代打一輝の打席で
梶谷がホームスチールを敢行するも走塁死で勝ち越せず。
９回裏、４番手森福から先頭の一輝がセンター前ヒットで出塁し１死から荒波が送りバントで２塁
まで進めると、森本が内野安打で出塁して１・３塁とサヨナラのチャンスを作り出すが最後は筒香
が空振り三振に倒れて試合終了。
結局ブランドンを降板させたことが裏目に出て追いつかれ、３連勝はならなかった。


右膝に打球を受けて登録抹消されて以来となる復帰登板だったブランドン。
２回に左足にバットが当たるアクシデントに見舞われながらも、四死球１で７回無失点と好投するも、
残念ながら勝ち星は付きませんでした。
そのブランドンを下げて追加点を狙いに行って、結局無得点だったのが響いたかな？という試合。
あとを受けた加賀と篠原は連投の疲れもあるとは思いますが、やはりらしくない内容で結局同点に
追いつかれるきっかけを与えてしまったのは悔やまれるところでしょうね。
まあ藤江が内川・松田に対して同点で踏み止まったのは大きいですが、勝ちを逃した引き分けだっ
たなあ、というのが正直なところです。
終盤はバント失敗も地味に響いて、攻撃の手が足りなかったのも悔やまれますね。

今日の試合で交流戦は半分を消化。と言っても横浜DeNAは楽天との試合が雨で１つ流れている
ので、実際にはまだ半分終わっていないわけですが、明後日から再び埼玉西武との試合です。
高崎・三浦の登板が濃厚なので、２連勝をきっちり狙って最下位脱出を目指したいですね。
